Kim Caldwell (Rookie Coach of the Year-WBCA) is named Head Coach of Iconic Lady Vols WBB

I Said if you watch the video they John Adams and Blake Toppmeyer agree Cora Hall knows what going on more they do with lady Vols basketball.
Cora Hall said they would announced a coach first of next week.
That's her time frame.
Don't hold Cora Hall to that Think that was her best guess.

John Adams said Knows people who have inside information and he hints
Like he knows what the Chancellor and the president would want.
I know he likes to talk.

I agree Cora Hall Knows more than John Adams on the lady Vols basketball
So does John Adams
Wasn’t being smart to you at all sorry if it came out that way I’m here to get along with everybody I just have lots opinions like any one else I know I get out of hand sometimes. Yes Adam’s likes to talk more than I like lol

What was the biggest issue with LVBHC?
Small time regular fan donations and not much information even about how that is going. No big time booster donation so big time lack of money to get many of the top players interested when other schools are ready to offer a lot more. The BHC is like Dollar General and what we need is Walmart.

Yep, what he said...I, and others have an opinion, but I'm not going to share it here. Kellie and Sam were VERY handicapped in recruiting.

I know it's a risk and she might not actually be in the running, but I would rather hire Kim Stephens now than regret not hiring her later.
If they hire her certainly will be supportive of her success. The only concern is lack of experience in the big time and everyone has to get there somehow, Geno was an Assistant and Dawn was at a school similar to Marshall when they got the jobs. Pat had never coached anywhere. Wes Moore Chattanooga. The list goes on and on of success stories and of course failures.

Love how games are being played now. Does anybody know except a few who has interviewed and who are really being considered. There are some outstanding coaches out there at every level. Some of course more proven at power 5 not sure who will be coach but I for one will welcome and support regardless of level there from. Relax everyone. In CHRIST Alone
Finally a voice of reason.
DW is the only person on the planet that knows who the next LV basketball coach is. IF he has decided yet.
He may have planted some of these rumors to give us something to worry about. You know, like eating stuff out of a litter box.

Nobody knows not the talking heads or fans. DW knows and maybe a few others and that is it. Just a bunch of names being thrown out there and anyone can do it so they do.

She is going to get a big time job eventually. I just don't think it is time for her to get it right now. I think she has the ability to be a very good coach if she can recruit. Her teams play an effective floor game.
It would be nice to see at least one more season of work at the division 1 level first. It could have been lightning in a bottle this season with two senior guards carrying them, I know she had success at division 2 level but so has Mark Campbell at Union and the new coach at UTC. As far as I know we didn’t interview them, She may be the next best thing, but there really isn’t much to go off of at this level.

If you hire her now there is probably a 50% chance you will regret it in 5 years. (50% is better than a lot of others though).
There are a few coaches that we can probably get that probably have a 20% chance we wold regret it in 5 years.

There are 3 or 4 that would be almost a sure thing but we aren’t getting them for various reasons.

What she did at Marshall this season was pretty impressive based on the program's history.

A lot of (majority imo) great WBB coaches got their shot before they were deemed ready. It’s what you do with the opportunity. Dan White is big on evaluating individual processes and acumens imo judging from his hiring history. So the INTERVIEW is going to weigh heavier than fan perception of their resume and experience. Once again…jmo.

Percentages are funny. 😄

Injuries impacting team performance. Interesting concept.
Yep there has always been something impacting team performance the last 5 years.....injuries,recruiting ,coaching, playing too early on Sunday,Shirley was sick,Alice just did not show up today ....you name it........ everything and the kitchen sink has been thrown out there as excuses for poor performance. In the end the person in charge gets the credit .

The percentages would have been significantly greater if you had kept Kellie and give her an adequate NIL budget. She was almost there with limited funds.

Despite all those setbacks and a top five strength of schedule, consistently finishing 3rd in a conference with South Carolina and LSU with two Sweet Sixteen appearances in four years is not a 'poor' performance.

I would argue that she got something out of the players that the previous coach couldn't.
Underrated point. Bob Stoops won his only NC with players recruited by his failed predecessor. History nods at his legacy approvingly.

I get that, but again it’s one season with someone else’s players. All I’m saying is it would be nice if she had more years to see if it was sustainable.
What do you make of the 6 previous seasons where she won the Conference Championship ( either regular season or Tournament ) all six years, was the Conference Coach of the year 4 times and National Coach of the year once as well as winning the Division 11 National Championship.....guess that is not worth mentioning to you huh .

Players can also opt to get agents to secure deals. Changes the narrative of limited funds
