That wasn’t an accidental bump, which could be excused. That was a shove. I don’t care who he thought he pushed, that’s not acceptable whoever he thought it was. Also, it doesn’t matter who he thought it was, it was the opposing team’s quarterback. He deserves to be suspended for a game, but I doubt it will happen. Maybe he can use the Nick Saban excuse and just claim that he was scared.

Notice how Kirby teed the kid up with his forearms and struck him hard.
All the excuses for Kirby are 100% BS. He struck a kid he has no excuse for touching at all.

I also agree this is less egregious as the Woody Hayes incident.
If I was Jeff Lebby, I would make that post game moment at midfield one Kirby would remember. I'd call his a$$ out to his face. What could Kirby even say? All he could do was dig his hole a little deeper, apologize, or say nothing.
