Did I say UNC wasn't a bandwagon school? I just said Duke was the biggest of them all. UNC can't come close to Duke when it comes to the amount of bandwagoners. No school can. (in basketball)

All big time school have bandwagon fans. Some (Duke) just have more than others.

I beg to differ. I see 10 times more UNC stuff on high school kids then I see Duke stuff.

Sounds like you are just a little jealous of the Dukies.....You can come join the Blue Devil faithful, we will accept you....and contrary to what Dickens, or Getyourpopcornready think's you can still be a UT fan while doing it.....Put on the Dark Blue and Give em Hell Blue Devil!!!!!!

Like I said in a previous post, how many kids do you see wearing MJ jerseys from the NC era....That's just one example, and I agree baby blue makes me want to vomit in my mouth..........man I hate NC so freakin bad!!!!!

There is NO way there is more UNC 'bandwagon' fans justin. What makes you think these guys you see aren't really a part of the 'real' fanbase? What makes you think they didn't grow up near Chapel-Hill, how do you know they're parents/grandparents didn't attend UNC?

UNC has a larger 'real' fanbase than Duke. At my highschool I saw maybe 1 or 2 UNC fans.. and about 50-60 that supported Duke basketball.. who had no ties to Duke. Why else do you think Duke can't sell out their small arena for every game? Their "fanbase" just isn't as large if you take out the bandwagon boys.

That's definately true. Each year there are about 3-4 times more graduates of UNC than Duke, multiply that by say 20 years, and UNC has the obvious edge in numbers.

I have been a diehard Duke basketball and Vols football fan for a very long time and always will be....And, if you think that it stupid, well I guess thats your opinion and your entitled to it.....But, I will always pull for Duke..

I don't see your point? The point he was making is that UNC has a larger fanbase - so of course you'll see a lot more true UNC fans.. most of Duke's are bandwagoners.

Because I ask them. I do the same thing to the majority of people I see on campus wearing Red Sox hats.

My roommate's grandparents are from North Carolina. He pulls out his UNC hat when they are winning, puts it away when they are losing. He's still a bandwagon fan in my book.

your crazy man.....you do realize you dont have to attend a school to be a fan dont you? If you follow a team, you like the team and you pull for a team than you are a fan....I guess I should say piss on UT Football because I went to Murray State and I will not pull for anyone but the Mighty Murray State Racers.....Give me a break

Lol - read my previous post.

I don't have a problem with fans that live in area/state or have some tie with the school. Or if they're family member/friend went to the school. I have a problem with some random kid from Wyoming picking up a Duke hat and pulling for them just because they're good at basketball.
