Knoxville Restaurants

For the most part, the casing makes the biggest impression, when you bite into the hotdog

The Nathans I fixed for the kids yesterday were good, but skinny

You should have got the quarter pound Nathan's.

The lunch house. East knoxville, Holston Dr. Only open until 230 but man that is some good home cooking. Cash only and breakfast served all day Saturday.

For those that like donuts, Maker's Donuts is pretty awesome. They have a different lineup of donuts ever week with some pretty interesting flavors.

A rep brought some by the office and they looked good. I tried to go last Sunday before church to surprise my kids, but they are closed on Sundays.

There is just the one location in LC, right?

Makers Donuts is open Thursday through Sunday from 7am-1pm in North Knoxville. It's pretty close to Crafty Bastards.

Had another great dinner at Flemings tonight. The portobello mushroom ravioli is just devine, and the lobster tempura is also delicious. The steaks were all cooked to perfection and as always prime cuts. They do a great creme brulee, and sometime I'll actually have to try their chocolate lava cake that they cook to order.

I've had my last meal at Blue Coast on Mrk Sq. it just isn't any good after they changed the menu and maybe the chef. Sad because it was pretty good especially for brunch. Last meal they grilled my prime rib and it came out dry, this meal they brought me a luke warm burrito that has been int the window too long and it was supposed to be steak....got chicken.

I've never heard a good thing about that place. I don't know how they stay in business.

FYP

I don't care if what they really do is nuke a frozen restaurant supply dessert in the microwave as the "cook to order" their's is really good. All I get, everytime.

Copper Cellar Family restaurants(Calhoun's, Copper Cellar, Chesapeake's, Cherokee Grill, Smoky Mountain Brewery, Cappuccino's) are building a new restaurant on Middlebrook Pike across from Food City. There is no word yet on which concept it will be. Construction on this has been underway for months now.
