Knoxville Restaurants

This thread had been everything I wanted it to be. So my new question is this: you have to take your buddy out, your family out and your love interest out in 3 different nights. Where do you take each?

Buddy: Ruth's Chris
Family: Chuy's
Love Interest: Nama, RouXbarb, or Flemings

Savelli's is a good italian restaurant, although super tiny and located in a very strange part of town for a restaurant.
Altrudas, you gotta love. They have a great house salad and the garlic butter rolls are amazing.

Flemings... I've driven by and around this place dozens of times but have never been there. I honestly don't hear much about it and being surrounded by a shopping center with parking spots everywhere I chuckled when I saw they offered valet parking. This was a few years ago so I don't know if they still do that.

Flemmings is very good but I only go when a rep is buying or we have a CEU function there.

Just don't go to Chuy's anytime of the weekend. Unless you enjoy the 45 minute wait. I have seen that place packed at 11:15 on a Sunday morning.

I can't understand the fascination with Chuy's. I've been three times and was underwhelmed each time. Reminds me of a Mexican Mellow Mushroom.

I saw someone mention Ruth's Chris.

That place, bar none, is the most overpriced establishment I have ever been to.

It's expensive for sure. But overpriced? Not sure about that. Ruth's Chris gives you a USDA prime NY strip for $35. Outback gives you a smaller, poor quality steak for $25 plus sides. Ruth's Chris is well worth the $10 more imo.

You'll spend more $$$ at Ruth's Chris, but I think Outback is the biggest ripoff, with Chilis as a very close second.

Ruth's Chris is the most overpriced restaurant ever

Really? I'm not debating that it's expensive, but I'm not sure that it's unreasonably expensive as I've been pleased with every experience I've had at various Ruth's Chris establishments. Conversely, the few times I've visited Fleming's I've been pretty satisfied... until I saw the check. I can't speak in regards to the cost at the Knoxville location but, Jesus, that's an overpriced restaurant.

My buddy: DTGB
Family: Echo, maybe.
Love interest: I'm firm in my belief that Cafe 4 is the best first-date restaurant in the Southern Untied States.

if you're paying straight up menu price every time you go to outback, you aren't doing it right.

i had Sweet P's last week and it was great. Slaw and the greens-n-things were perfect. i had the brisket. probably going again next week to use up our last living social voucher and will try the ribs. they destroy calhouns.

and maybe knox area cheddar's suck, but the one in cookeville was always awesome for what you pay.
