Knoxville Restaurants

Wok Chow in Bearden is pretty good. I don't like it as well as Wok Hay though.

Well my review of Mooyah's:

Very similar to 5 guys. Buns were better. Burger was juicier but it had some spices that I wasn't a big fan of. It was good though. The fries were identical to five guys. Had a shake and it was not good. Had a sour taste to it. Cool place though and I'll definitely return.

You obviously didn't get the Oreo shake. That thing is the business.

I was born and raised in here in Knoxville, moved around with work but lived here most of my life...I'm 61....my favorite 4 are/were Regas, Big Ed's, Smoky Mountain Markets and Litton's...best restaurant means more than than just best food....it's kinda like music, in that it can have a special meaning to you because it takes to back to another time....

In my case the old Smokey Mountain market did for me because I used to stop there and eat 8 or 9 hot dogs after I was good and drunk and on my way home...

Oh those smokey dogs. I don't think I've enjoyed a hotdog ever like those. I would have to agree with all your selections. Proposed to my wife at Regas and had our rehearsal dinner at Litton's.

That has a lot to do with it. I associate places with memories and my flavor my recommendations based on that. Hard to knock the Smoky Mt. hot dogs or the food at Regas. Brass Rail was a favorite in the olden times, too.

You are 'hard core' like I am then....now answer the bonus question for cash and prizes....did you ever get Big Ed to comp your meal because it was your birthday.....they've always given a birthday T shirt but getting a free meal was tougher.....and a lot of fun bantering with Ed at your table...
