Knoxville Restaurants

I have been the 100th customer at Chick-Fil-A twice, does that count for something?

When I went to Chicago I loved it. Gino's East and Uno's was fantastic.

Had Gino's east when I went up. Chicago pizza is the best I've had. I've never had NY style though so my opinion is probably moot.

You are 'hard core' like I am then....now answer the bonus question for cash and prizes....did you ever get Big Ed to comp your meal because it was your birthday.....they've always given a birthday T shirt but getting a free meal was tougher.....and a lot of fun bantering with Ed at your table...

I don't think I ever went to Big Ed's for my birthday.

Wow. Someone thinks a bit too highly of their opinion.

Yes I do as well as the excellant writing within said post. Strangly though......I dont think nearly as highly about posts of some others...hmmm

As a knoxville native im proud of my city and its culture history and traditions. These restaurants fit into those categories imo & that was the reason for the bump. This thread was, imo, at least in part an information source for fans that dont live here for places to try on game visits. These places have been here for many decades because they ARE so good and should be a must go when u are here for a visit. Most people wont go back thru pages of drivel to find good info so I bumped it. Hate that it offended ur feminine sensibilities

Genghis Grill in Turkey Creek.

Yelp and Urbanspoon do not like Genghis Grill, though most reviews were older.

Save going through 10 pages of posts was Chinese Food discussed?
Buffet - I go with Hibachi Grill on Kingston Pike.
Take-out - Lotus Garden on Cedar Bluff.

Really like Stir Fry Cafe but it's a drive since they closed Turkey Creek.

Anyone got a good chinese take-out place they really like?

You're a lot more proud of your opinion than of Knoxville and its history/traditions by what you recommended. Only a thoroughbred piece of white trash would come up with the same list that you did.

Loui's Italian is terrible. Hunts ketchup on store bought noodles.

Litton's isn't terrible, but its in a neck and neck race with Regas as most overrated restaurant in Knoxville.

Mellow Mushroom is a 45 minute wait for a mediocre pie delivered by a pot head drop out.

Elidio's is better than MM, but its still your run of the mill mall pizza.

Fuji is the typical hibachi "japanese" restaurant that can be found anywhere. Plus its a dropped cigarette away from that nasty carpet exploding into a giant grease fire.

Best Italian was great 20 years ago. It was good 10 years ago. Now its just a dirty restaurant with senior citizen servers and cold pizza.

You're both entitled to your opinions. You both need to relax. Jesus Christ almighty...

China Lee on Middlebrook is not bad. They also own Chen Garden in Karns.

Somehow, someway, I think Chinese food got overlooked. And honestly, I don't know that I've really had Chinese in Knoxville.

All the places you named are great. I've lived here for my entire life. Stay at home and eat a PB&J.

Szechuan Garden on Chapman is me and my wife's Chinese take-out place. It's one of those places where you get more food than you could ever handle for around $8

When I have time, I'm going to go through this thread and compile a list of listed restaurants. Then, I'm going to put them on a bracket and determine the best restaurant in Knoxville.

Thats why there are multiple Italian, Chinese, burger, steak, Hitachi restaurants in K-town..... so everybody can enjoy THEIR favorite. Different strokes for different folks.
