I miss Chandler's, Dead End, Aubrey's, Nama, Copper Cellar, and (as much as I hate to admit) Hibachi Factory delivery.
Add Wasabi to that list as well. And that Brazilian steakhouse. Taste of Thai.
Now that I think about it, Knox had a pretty decent lineup of delicious fattening stations.
Got to check out Chez Guevara last week. Definitely the best Mexican I've had in Knoxville so far (I haven't been to that many places yet). Chips and salsa were great, and you get red and green - both delicious. I got the Elvis burrito - pretty good, could have used just a little more seasoning. Some of the black beans in the burrito came out while it was cooking, and left a thin burnt layer around it, but it wasn't a big deal.
It was a good experience, the waitstaff were busting ass the whole time I was there. From what I've heard, I'm expecting La Parilla to be better, but for now I would take to my mom to Chez if she came to visit Knoxville (my mom loves Mexican food).
The Pizza Palace
Pizza Palace is decent. Not anything special. They are big on their own onion rings, and all I heard going in there was that they were famous for their onion rings and their onion rings were on food network blah blah blah.
Worst onion rings I've ever had in my life. I really do not understand how anyone could even eat them, much less recommend them. And it's hard to screw up onion rings.
Speaking of pizza, the wife and I tried a place out on Chapman recently called "I love NY Pizza". If that place represents what New York pizza is supposed to be then I'm not interested.
At Da Vinci's tonight, I had a New Yorker say our pizza was really good, and our calzones are the best he's had outside of NYC. That was not the first time I've had Northerners say that.

I thought the onion rings held up to their hype personally. Maybe you caught them on a bad day. They need to get with the times though, the cash only rule is lame.
Pleasantly surprised by this, the Smoky Mountain Brewery has very good onion rings.
