Knoxville Restaurants

Which O'Charley's are you going to? I frequent the ones near West Town and Turkey Creek, and they are both decent.

I'd say mine would be the following:

O'Charley's
TGIFriday's *
Applebee's
Chili's
Ruby Tuesday.

Friday's might be higher if the one here in Knoxville didn't blow. The one in Cool Springs is outstanding.

Burlington NC, Winston-Salem NC, Cary NC.

Both of them. Had bad experiences at both. Last time was at Turkey Creek. Got the Cedar Plank Salmon. Looked like they cooked it with a blowtorch.

I always get a sirloin. Always works out for me.

Those potato skins are outstanding.

Maybe it's a North Carolina problem.

I will say I'm not a huge fan of the one off Merchants.

Doubtful. As you said the Friday's in Knoxville is bad yet the one in Cool Springs is good, so I put little stock in those O'Charley's operating in the same state.

Is the Golden Corral in Knoxville any good? I went to one in Burlington N.C. and I liked it a lot. I have not heard anything great about the one in NoKno.

Well damn.

How hard is it to pass a health inspection? If chandler's can pass the inspection with one of the junkiest looking restaurants around(lovely food though, despite what some people may say), I figured anyone could!

The only place worse is the Great 'Merican Buffet place on Merchants. I think it finally closed, tho.

Used to call that place the Great American Stomach Pump.

Ryans was really bad.

That said, why does Knoxville love Shoney's so much? I went there for breakfast once and the only thing that wasn't terrible was the bacon.

My sister and I loved Shoney's when we were little. IIRC, it was the macaroni and hot fudge cakes.

Shoney's has award winning hot fudge cakes. I think the award is something along the lines of "The Knoxville News Sentinel 'Hooray, you did it. You made a hot fudge cake.' Award 2012."

Also, wtf is wrong with your phone?

Probably because most people in Knoxville think Shoney's is an original Knoxville restaurant.

I liked Ryan's. You just had to know what to order.

I liked Shoney's when I was little as well.
