Knoxville Restaurants

We ate at Conner's the other night, and it's a consistently nice meal. I had a great Sea Bass Oscar special, with a generous amount of lump crab on top. The atmosphere is perfect on a cold winter night.

Have not. I drive by there every day, but that location has changed restaurants about 5 times over the past 10 years and I've never heard anyone recommend it.

There is a video on their FB page that Ken Schwall from WBIR did. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=331979086997010&id=180546562140264

One of our favorites!
Went there earlier this month and a friend of mine got the same dish. There was about as much crab on top as there was fish.

I'll have to stop by and check it out sometime.

If you do I'd be curious to know what you think of it.

We went to Linderhof a couple weeks ago. The food was great as usual but I wanted to say my friend ordered the salmon with the apricot and sour cream sauce. I tried a bite and I'm not a salmon fan but I'd eat that dish and the sauce was fantastic.

Is this the German place in Turkey Creek?

First Watch in Farragut may have the best breakfast in town. Try the chickichanga or the parma hash.

No, it's just been awhile. We don't get out for breakfast very often. We should, though, with FW so close!

My wife and I tried First Watch some time back and we didn't care for it. I'm more of a traditionalist on breakfast, so FW catering to more of the health conscious side of the menu didn't really set me up for a good visit. That doesn't mean others won't like it, I just prefer something different than what they offer.

Took the family to Litton's tonight for my 8-year-old's birthday. The pimento cheese/onion/jalapeño burger is legit, the fries and onion rings are darn near perfect. There's a reason it remains a local favorite.

And I thought I was hungry before I read this.

I'm a stickler when it comes to fries. They have to be shoestring and seasoned or perfectly fried, a combo of both doesn't hurt either. The Brasserie has some darn good fries(pommes frites as they're titled on the menu). I think I'm more of a fan of Litton's desserts these days than anything.

The burger at Connor's is killer as well. Someone told me the burger at Flemings is also killer but I haven't tried it.
