Knoxville Restaurants

The pho at Little Bangkok is superb.

I'll have to try it. I've been to Bida Saigon twice but never got the pho. I still miss that Thai restaurant that was over there near Chez Gueverra. I think it was Vietnamese Grill and I think it's actually where Seasons is now.

Am I the only one that isn't impressed at all with Taste Of Thai?

Bida is my absolute favorite. I go there at least once every other week. Now if only Sangria's hadn't closed, my two favorite meals would still be available in Knoxville.

There is a Viet restaurant over there, not site is the same one.

Funny, but I've thought the same about ToT. It's good, but I haven't had anything there worth writing home about. I prefer LB, and it's much more convenient for me.

Sangria's did have some good food. Of course, it's replacement isn't half bad, either. Maybe a little less healthy, but you know....

It's called Viet Taste. I've considered trying it, but with We're Cooking right around the corner, it's a tough call to break out of my comfort zone to try something as new as Vietnamese food.

I went to Viet Taste and didn't care for it at all

They have the same rating on Urbanspoon as Bida.

Is Pho the only thing to get?

It's the only thing I get. I've gotten pho at every place that sold pho in Knoxville since 2010. IMO none touches Bida. But then again, I feel like it's the only place owned and operated by Vietnamese people.

It was "Vietnamese Bistro" actually, just found the name online. Man that was some good food. So if you lived closer to Gallaher View Bida Saigon would be your number one Thai spot?

Yeah that's the name. Have not been to BS. I always enjoy Little Bangkok.

Tried Bad Daddy's, had the Bacon Cheeseburger on Steroids. Three slices of jalapeño bacon, three of apple wood, jack cheese, and bacon horseradish sauce with sweet potato fries. Oh yes.

Bida is Vietnamese, not Thai

Yes I know, I misspoke when I typed that. I was looking at the menu for Little Bangkok and they actually had some Thai dishes on their menu, as well as a few Chinese but Thai got stuck in my head. :)

Bida's menu is like pure Vietnamese though.
