Conners for lunch today. Had the Philly cheese steak. Very good but not a traditional, more like a loaded french dip

That's the new place in TC, where Mr. Gatti's used to be, right?

I didn't know that Gatti's bit the dust. Went there a few times myself. They probably couldn't afford the rent anymore seeing as how it's TC after all.

What?! No Cheeze Wiz?! I wouldn't expect Connor's to stock something like Cheeze Wiz.

Took my brother to Tomato Head tonight. Soooooo good, but pricey for what you get. Nice people watching in Market Square to boot.

Nah, more like served with au jus and horseradish

And this was at Connor's?!

That's really strange because not only is au jus and horseradish not on the menu description but those are two items you normally don't even put on/with a Philly Cheesesteak.

Wasn't impressed with Tomato Head when I went. They do however have an awesome peanut butter/chocolate pie.

I went to the Tomato Head near West Town Mall a couple weeks ago and hated it. Too. Much. Hipster.

Market square is better, but I like them both. Love the pizza, very good sandwiches, nice tap selection. The clientele is a little different for me, but a welcome change.

My brother is a strict Vegan and he picked the spot. We don't spend much time together, so I try to accommodate him when I can.

Very disappointing meal at Cru last night. I've enjoyed it in the past, but they committed the mortal sin and overcooked everyone's beef, and there was just nothing memorable about anything else. For the price, big letdown.

Ate at the new burger and whiskey place inside the Orangery and they have yet to cook the burgers. Everything from Medium rare, to medium, to medium well all came out raw - I'll take your overcooked beef over our uncooked burgers anytime.

Tried Bad Daddy's, had the Bacon Cheeseburger on Steroids. Three slices of jalapeño bacon, three of apple wood, jack cheese, and bacon horseradish sauce with sweet potato fries. Oh yes.

Not that there is anything wrong with it, and not to offend, but what did you think of that serving team? I am pretty sure the Cheeseburgers were't the only things on steroids. My buddy commented he was sure a couple of those girls could take him in a fight.

better than Bida Saigon?

Little Bangkok is different, it seems to be a mix of different cultures. Their menu has Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese where Bida Saigon is all Vietnamese.

I'm a fan of the Vietnamese crepe(Banh Xeo)

wow that guy's lookin rough lol

I just really love paella and since they closed down (when I had just bought a groupon and was on my way into the restaurant) I was pretty crushed

Yeah, I guess that was the only place selling Paella in Knoxville. If you ever venture down to New Orleans there is an excellent little spot down their that serves amazing Paella, it's called Lola's.

Lol

Yup, I was shocked when it came out that way. If was tasty but far from a Philly

There were a lot of people working, that's for sure. As for the waitresses, ours had a penis.
