KY loses 8 players--will the Vols take over the East?

This must be the first time in NCAA history that the investigative staff is in the middle of an investigation and yet has already cleared a group of individuals.

That was the wrong choice of words, as I was in a hurry. If I would have had more time, I would have explained that UK has stated that they have not been contacted by anyone from the NCAA concerning any inquiry about Eric Bledsoe. The NYT spent up to 8 months going back and forth to Alabama to try and find something to drop the bomb with, and all they have is the grades, and the rent paid by the coach.

As of now, there has been no need for the NCAA to investigate Kentucky's involvement.

So from the story, it seems like maybe Pastner leaked the transcripts?

Pastner is the head coach at Tiger High because it was Calipari's will.

My money would be on UF regardless of what the article says. This Pete Thamel character is the same guy who wrote the NYT smear articles on Lane Kiffin and it was well known that he's in tight with the UF athletic dept.

And it looks like Rick Pitino's son is an assistant coach at UF... like I said, if I were a bettin' man...

I do believe you're on the right track.

Why would a college asst. coach leak the transcripts if the media have been looking at this situation for 8 months and haven't been able to make a story? Makes no sense.

Pearl has come out encouraging a rule change to two and done. Would players choose to go overseas such as KY's class rather than stay two years in college? I agree completely that the rule needs to be changed. One and done is of no benefit to anyone. Just let them go from high school, rather than a one and done. That would completely change Cal's recruiting efforts.

NCAA goes to a baseball style rule for players, they will definitely begin going overseas or some sort of interim traveling show will arise in the US.

Especially with Brandon Jennings' instant success. It won't surprise to see a top player going to Europe next year.

There are four teams picked in the early pre-season picks in the top 25---Ky, TN, Florida, and Georgia. I was somewhat shocked by Georgia. Florida has the highest ranking. All others are out of the top ten---Georgia #25. It seems that most so-called experts don't believe that KY's current top rated class is nearly as good as last year's group.

Harris has his protective boot removed. Will he be ready for pre-season practice? He is not scheduled to participate in the Rocky Top League.

And then there's Jeremy Tyler....

There's a big difference between being 16 and being 18. Also, Brandon didn't do very well overseas. He just realized he had to get better. Tyler came home crying and is a quitter. BIG difference.
