Kyle Busch is at it again.......

Seeing Busch smash the guitar after getting out of the car upset both fans and sponsors. Bass noted that representatives from race sponsor Federated Auto Parts walked out of victory lane after Busch’s act.

Bass estimated that he and Gibson put “hundreds and hundreds of hours” of work into the guitar, which is so unique that “you can’t just buy this thing right off the shelf.”

“A guitar might be a guitar and he might have seen rock stars destroy them and things like that, but at the same time, this is a trophy,” Bass said. “You wouldn’t think he would destroy the Daytona trophy or the Brickyard trophy or something like that.

But Bass couldn’t help but wonder what would have happened if the situation were reversed.

“What if I won a contest to win Kyle Busch’s car?” he said. “Let’s say the crew prepares it and everything else and I accept it at an awards ceremony and just start beating the hell out of it.

“I don’t think they would appreciate that, it would hurt their feelings that they put their work and time and energy and effort into it.”
Like to see how you Kyle Busch butt lickers spin this one.

As I said previously, Sam Bass was upset. Kyle Busch was in the wrong and even the sponsors agreed.

I really try to like this kid just because he pisses off so many fans, and I tend to like that, but I just stared at the TV, mouth agape, trying to figure out what the point of his post-race “celebration” was.

What was he trying to accomplish by smashing the race trophy, a beautiful Gibson Les Paul guitar?

He is not Kurt Cobain or Eddie Van Halen or Pete Townshend or Keith Richards. Hell, he’s not even Nick Jonas.

Unless you are trying to dramatically cap off a rock show in front of tens of thousands of fans, don’t smash a guitar. You just end up looking like a d-bag.

I love that you losers try to paint me as an idiot for sharing an opinion that is, not only widely-held, but the seemingly popular viewpoint.

Kyle Busch has acted like a spoiled little punk time and time again. The dude is a talented driver, but he's a horrible little spoiled punk brat when you take the talent away.

Here is my opinion for whatever it is worth (see post in Tony Stewart thread). Wanting to share the trophy with his crew is admirable, but why not give the trophy guitar in one piece to the crew chief to hang up in the shop to be referred to as the "team trophy"?

Ever driver I have heard mention the Gibson Guitar trophy has been high on either winning one or wanting to win one. DW has several, but would take another anytime. I wager not many are in Kyle's corner on this.

I look at it as old school I suppose, but to justify it being ok because rock stars do it is hard to accept. Does that mean it is ok to mimic all the other behavior of rock stars? God help us if so. I love rock & roll music, and play and sing it, but I always had disdain for the guitar smashing.

It should be mentioned about Kyle's philanthropy, he sure doesn't publicize it. Maybe he is afraid it will hurt his facade as the villan. I have always felt those who do for others without fanfare are the true givers. I like his talent, moxie and swagger, he backs up his talk, but I cannot just shrug off this incident as putting on a show.

JMHO.

Well put, Broyles.

Ty Cobb created a scholarship foundation.... what's your point?

Way to show the world you belong in Bama. Comparing a murderer to someone who smashed a guitar is genius that only belongs in that trash bin of a state.

He didn't compare them. He made a statement and asked what your point is. But instead of answering the question, you chose to attack the messenger which is not surprising given your behavior in the rest of the thread. I don't know what it is that has caused you to act like a wounded puppy, but I would get it addressed as quickly as possible. That's no way to go through life.

Why don't you address Sam Bass' latest quotes instead of slinging mud around to disguise the fact that you're knee-deep in it?

Sab's right, when you lose you resort to name-calling and personal attacks. Shouldn't surprise me though. You also failed to prove any evidence during the Ty Cobb thread.

I hope Busch wins at Martinsville soon. Maybe he'll get out a bat and bash the grandfather clock right in victory lane.

why don't you figure out what you're talking about before you go spouting off. Bama made these ridiculous statements in another thread where because Ty Cobb did some good deeds post baseball career, all his many transgressions as a player shouldn't be counted against him. who cares that he murdered people, was a racist and threatened players, umps and managers alike? He bought a kid a pony 20 years later so he's a good guy.

you didn't show one shred of evidence that he was a good guy during his playing days. His crimes are well documented during his playing career.

as a matter of fact, you've yet to prove you know anything about the actual sport of baseball other than the ability to read stats. How's Rich Harden working out for you?

But, but, Rich Harden has filthy stuff.

as evidenced by his 4+ ERA this year... Of course, it's all moot now because he's once again on the DL. 8 games before his DL trip, 43.2 innings. That's a healthy of average of not even getting through the sixth inning. He's so dominant.

Lol, I know. I was just kidding. Not about the filthy stuff though, because he has that. By the way, Cubs suck.

None of the stuff you said was well documented, Cobb's life was basically a tall-tale. You're also not a strong reader because i never said he was a good guy.

yeah a career 3.33 ERA really sucks. I guess by your logic then Oswalt, Hamels, and Lester aren't really that good either.
