Kyle Rittenhouse - The Truth in 11 Minutes

Sitting at a lunch counter where you're not welcome. Sitting on a bus where you're not welcome. Standing outside a police department, city hall or wherever demanding change. None of these acts are providing peace. However, they are each non-violent.
I agree that each of those is a non-violent disruption of the status quo - and in a way does disrupt the “peace”.

Seems to me we don’t see as much of that as we used to. Could be those protesting are just tired and fed up.

If by chance Rittenhouse is convicted here, I expect the judge to declare a mistrial. He's got all sorts of grounds to do exactly that.

I will add that I think the judge erred by not sequestering this jury
I wouldn’t count on it. The prosecutor is in control of the courtroom and is running circles around the judge and defense.

Looking more and more like a hung jury...wonder if the prosecution would retry him?
Depends on what the way the jury was leaning. If it was 10-2 in favor of acquittal, then I’d be surprised if he was retried. If it’s closer to 6-6 or even leaning in the direction of conviction, then yes he’d be retried.

Just fishing with dynamite on this one.

I would be surprised to see a mistrial declared in this trial. Judge would likely just let it go to appeals.

The judge has not ruled on the defense's request for a mistrial so he's purposely keeping that option open

You just trolling over here? The same guy who pointed guns at the jury and question the defendant’s right to remain silent?
The same prosecutor who got flimsy evidence admitted, brought up the defendant’s right to not self-incriminate in x (which should have been grounds for a mistrial by itself) and has a shot at winning? Yep. trolling.

The prosecutor creating grounds for dismissal in an appeal isn't good lawyering or dominating. It's gross misconduct and him not doing his job well.

My favorite part is the prosecution pretending they sent the right video and the problem was the defense’s computer.

He had a crappy case and the judge doesn’t have the fortitude to do the right thing. The defense is being too polite to the judge and da who’s trying to put his client in jail forever.

EXCLUSIVE: Anti Kyle Rittenhouse protestor, 20, who was arrested outside Kenosha Courthouse was once Charged with Making Terrorist Threats Against his Former High School

  • Anthony Chacon, 20, was arrested Wednesday outside the Kenosha Courthouse and now facing charges of battery, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest
  • DailyMail.com can reveal that Chacon was once charged with making terrorist threats against his former high school
  • In September 2019, he posted a picture of himself pointing a gun on Snapshot, along with a message threatening his high school in Paddock Lake, Wisconsin
  • The case was eventually DISMISSED and Chacon pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct
The young man arrested after scuffling with a Kyle Rittenhouse supporter outside the court where the accused murderer is being tried was once charged with making terrorist threats against his former high school.

But the day before school re-opened in September 2019 he posted a picture of himself pointing a gun on Snapshot, along with a message threatening Westosha Central High School in Paddock Lake, Wisconsin.

He used the N-word in his threat, according to court documents obtained by DailyMail.com.

'Young n***a gon hop ina gym shoot everything but the rim,' Chacon — who is white according to his police booking details — allegedly wrote. The words come from Till The End, a rap song by YNW Melly.

Think the prosecutor got the call from above to try this case and is trying to do the best he can with something he knows is would normally not get to court. Perhaps even trying to get a mistrial - hard to imagine what else he was going for when he did the part on trying to imply suspicion when Kyle was not talking. This prosecutor is not stupid, there is a reason he played so close to the fire. No chance he is making these decisions on his own though.

I think the important take away here is that society should be arming more kids to roam the streets enforcing the law because, what could go wrong?

Except nothing about this encounter involved a kid “enforcing the law”. Instead it was an example of a kid defending himself against violent criminals.

If anything it would be seen as an example of why you should consider arming your kids

It may work. If Kyle had competent counsel, this jury is out of deliberations in 4 hours on day one, if it even makes it to the jury.
