Correct. Crazy part of all this? They went after a 17 year old on a weapons charge and then put a convict on the stand who had a weapon in his hands that day and no one ever questioned it.

I'm not sure how effective it will actually be as far as financial gain but I think the best part about putting the legal screws to the media for anything they've incorrectly stated is it makes them have to defend the stance they originally took and have it come under scrutiny. I rather like how uncomfortable that would be for them.

I believe they could try for a wrongful death suit. The problem is that the same evidence paraded out at the criminal trial will still be there, including pics/video/testimony showing the actions of the deceased.
