I was waiting to see if anyone else caught that as well. He was charged and found not guilty. If he hadn't been charged, then he never would have been on trial.

As a general rule, I've noticed that people who disagree with the acquittal, also tend to be uneducated on the facts. For example they'll say something about him owning the firearm illegally or moving it across state lines. Once they Tweet that kind of stuff, they expose themselves as not being up on the facts. Gov Newsome is one such example
