Could we maybe get him in on baseball scholarship and not have it count towards this class? Not exactly sure how that works or if it’s possible

Bad news on Smith, ITS, Griffin, Campbell?

Think there’s still a scenario in which they could squeeze in three corners. But I also wouldn’t assume Tennessee is in bad shape with any of the corners you mentioned. The Vols just need multiple corners.

Looks like a really solid player. He’s not as good as smith or griffin but I think he’s better than Palmer.

Looks pretty good on highlights. Considering Pruitts background I'm not really going to question his eye for The Secondary. Guy has been around too many elite guys to not have a good clue of who he can win with.

Early on noticing he loves versatile players and two sport guys. He gets it from that standpoint

Davis took the trip this weekend unofficially. He’s a legit MLB prospect and wants to play football and baseball. Vols are intrigued by his upside but he has no barring on the recruitment of Smith, Griffin, ITS, etc.

“they compared me to the honey badger,” davis added, referring to former lsu cornerback tyrann mathieu of the nfl’s arizona cardinals. "i play with a chip on my shoulder since i’ve been underrated by whole career. (he) also said i play with passion and (i am) not afraid to hit anyone.”

Wasn't long ago the former staff was saying the same to Tanner Ingle.

Guessing this may be a blueshirt option.

Hand and eye coordination.
Baseball helps focus that skill.
Short area burst (stealing bases) is also applicable to Football.

Davis would be certainly fill a need. Any other recruiting years he is a solid find and you take him no question. But our numbers are limited and we need bigtime difference makers. A

Simonton said it’s possible but that this staff doesn’t plan to go the blue shirt route. They want to maximize their 25 each class.

Then why would he come on his own dime? PWO? Even those can take an official visit.
