Sorry not buying into that anymore. What you just said is Butch/Pruitt era level talk. This is a different era. So we should just be happy and fine with elite players just chatting with us? You can be happy if you want.I mean the fact this kid even chatted with us is impressive enough. We’re fine.
Garner is one of the best DL coaches in the nation. I don’t understand why we can’t land a few of these elite DL. We have recruited really well and have been in it to the end with a lot of high powered recruits. Just don’t understand why we couldn’t close the deal on a few of them.Seriously? I don't get why you don't get it.

What any highly rated defensive player would choose to play for him is baffling. His teams are consistently soft, everywhere he’s been. LSU probably lured the kid in with a big money NIL deal and the pitch of being a home grown hero. Kids are jumping on this quick money from NIL. Can’t blame them. These collectives, UT included, are paying 18 y/o kids millions of dollars before they’ve ever played a down of college football. Let’s not forget, they are getting a free Master’s, or in some cases, a Doctorate Degree as well. I somewhat understand it for a talent like Nico, or Arch, or even a Trevor Lawrence (pre-NIL). But some had Dante Moore and Malachi Nelson rated higher than Nico and I don’t think either of them were worth $1M a year. Some of these kids need a reality check. No way should a backup college RB demand, and get in some cases, a $2M NIL deal. Backup rb’s in the NFL don't make that much. The sad thing is these college kids are having agents/advisors to tell them to jump in the portal for a big payday (so they can get their 5%-10%). Then, in many cases, no one wants to pick them up, they lose their scholly at their former school and get forced into JUCO or D3 with no exposure or payout. Meanwhile, the agent/advisor drops the kid for a new “promising star”. Bunch of snakes. It was Brian Kelly's dance steps in my opinion.
