And...the people who I know understand what mine means. Why the harshness towards me anyway. I've never said one untruth about UT on this site. never bashed any program at UT one time.

I loved 1998. That is what I wish for every year. UT/FSU.
Just with a different outcome.

I understand the issue with a QB but if we don't get one this cycle... It's not the end of the world...

I became an FSU fan in 1975 when my aunt (an FSU grad) sent me an FSU jersey at the age of 5. It was different and I was an impressionable kid. They became #1 in my heart. I have gone to well over 100 UT football games in my life and want it to be a great program. I follow UT in depth and will always hope for success. Chavis got me and my son on the sidelines few times, played golf with Peyton, talked to Jimmy Streeter a few days before he passed away, ect.... I do love UT. I've traveled to Tallahassee many time to see the 'Noles play and was there at the Orange Bowl NC win vs Nebraska!

My only college choice was FSU. I got in as a JR. and was set on going there, but I only received a preferred walk-on spot to play golf there (got one at UT as well). I decided to play golf at Austin Peay due to scholarship and being ranked in the top 50 D1 golf teams in the country at that time.

Will I pull for the Vols vs. FSU or the Peay, no! But, that doesn't mean that I don't still pull hard for the Vols.

I have utmost loyalty to The Peay! I still love the 'Noles and always will, but for anyone to say that a fan of another team can't still care about the Vols, and shouldn't be "allowed" on this site, is absurd and full of ignorance!

and...if anything...we both have a deep hatred for UF!

Born in TN. Moved to Florida when I was 7. College baseball at USF (and graduate). FSU was my Florida team because I hated UF and Miami. That being said, I couldn’t care less if FSU loses every game outside of Florida.

I was born and bred a Vol. So we’re you. But you switched on a jersey? My uncle bought me a Michigan jersey. My aunt a Syracuse shirt. I probably wore them but never thought about rooting for them.

You’re like the rest of the Gator and Bama fans in the mid state. You’re no Vol. You’re a Nole and I’m ok with that but don’t pretend to be anything else.

I can understand being a fan of a second team but if you're a born and bred Vol and adopt FSU, then relegate the Vols to #2 over a jersey from an aunt, I think his fandom should be scrutinized.

Kid is good. Idiots using the kansas thing against him are too dumb to research that Kansas has his old HS coach. That is why he committed there. Helping his former coach get recognition. He likely won't sign there. Same thing that happened with all those top 100 kids last yr from Louisiana that commuted one wknd

As long as we keep JG and McBride around for 2019, I agree. But skipping on a QB this year would basically mean we've got to land a top QB like Bailey in 2020 or our QB future looks shaky.

I don't think we should take a guy just for the sake of taking a QB, but if the coaches can get someone on board who they think they can work with and build into something, we should take him. This QB class isn't as strong at the top or as deep as last class, so I doubt we get a "big time" guy. But we should try to get someone with upside.


If JG or McBride ends up leaving, then I think QB becomes a neccessity though. If Chryst wins the job and JG bails, then we're probably gonna be in the Grad Transfer market at QB again.
