'19 LA QB Lance LeGendre

Entering the 2018 season, Beaty's three-year record stands at 3-33 (.083), with a 1-26 record against the Big 12, and one victory over an FBS opponent (Texas)

Got a lot going for them.

Well, that is what Kansas is paying him to do.

And it shouldn't be considered selfishness for doing what your employer pays you to do

Point taken. Just as long as the kid understands that his coach is about his own self interests and not the kids. Just be honest about it

I'm a little surprised that more elite HS'ers don't decide together and go to less elite programs and build that program...like Kansas. It worked at Miami in the late 70's. If Lance doesn't decide to come to UT (hope he does), I hope he goes to Kansas and helps revive that program.

Because who wants to live in Kansas? Miami is an easy sell for a situation like that

Miami was ground zero for the talent tho...and it was MIAMI! Beaches babes? Schnellenberger just made it a priority to get the local area kids into that private university and voila! What’s in Kansas?

I understand all that! I'm just saying.....Fla International, FAU, San Diego State then.

Now, I did interview for a coaching job at Kansas Univ. Really not that bad. Lawrence is a pretty nice town.

When you don’t have tradition and fans to flock towards, you need scenery. Kansas is flat.

Hey Lawrence was an exciting place to be in the 50s and 60s....in the 1850s and 60s that is, and of course by exciting I mean you had to worry about getting slaughtered on a daily basis..

Nice town to you/me and nice town to 17-18 males are two different things.

Oh, I know.
And this is way off topic, but as much as these HS players recruit each other and know one another, I'm just surprised 10 or so don't just get together and say, "Let's join up somewhere different and shock everybody. Start our own tradition at XYZ University. Fans will show up if then.

It’s hard to get that many together and point to Kansas...without drugs being involved.

Tuscaloosa has tradition and a rabid fanbase. What’s in Kansas?

Yeah it's like if your boss told you your going to Kansas or your going to Miami. Pretty sure everyone picks the trip to miami

Well...I might not because I don't like the beach, and my dollar would stretch further in Kansas...but I'm also not the norm.

A huge difference from a small city in the South vs the Midwest for most of these kids. They dont want to go to farm country.

I'm from a small city in the south (west tn) and been to Lawrence, KS........not much different. Farm country everywhere in the south. Miami a different story. I lived there for 4 yrs. I'll take ANYWHERE over that place....but I'm not 19 anymore.....:good!:
