'19 LA QB Lance LeGendre

I can understand being a fan of a second team but if you're a born and bred Vol and adopt FSU, then relegate the Vols to #2 over a jersey from an aunt, I think his fandom should be scrutinized.

I don't need you, or anyone else, to scrutinize my "fandom".

BTW...I was 5 yrs old when I got the jersey, and went to 2 games a yr in Tallahassee. I pretty much was "born" an FSU fan as well.

Lay off. I hope UT wins the SEC every year and plays for a NC just like everyone else here! That is why i joined this site.....just like you!

One roadblock for the Vols is LeGendre’s commitment to Kansas. His former coach at Warren East High School, Tony Hull, is the area recruiter for the Jayhawks. The connection was good enough for LeGendre to commit about three months ago.

When SEC Country spoke with LeGendre a month ago, he held firm in his commitment to Kansas but isn’t shutting down interest from other schools.

“Right now, I’m 100 percent committed,” LeGendre told SEC Country. “I don’t see myself de-committing right now. I still have to go through the proper protocol with all schools, then I’ll make my decision from that point.

“Every team has a fair shot, but I am committed right now. Every team has a fair shot if that makes sense.”

LeGendre also said he could “see himself playing” for Tennessee.

The Vols will be pushing for him to camp, though he’s made no plans for anything yet. He’ll likely camp to LSU and possibly Alabama this summer.

I’ll say this: if Morris’ teammates made these comments, I’d be worried and we would see at least 23 “he gone” posts.

Why in the world would any elite talent want to go to Kansas to play football? Big fish little pond personality maybe? If so he isn't cut out for the SEC meat grinder.

Yea, well some look at what some people have already done for them, then the promises that they are hearing currently. Stuff like I taught you to be a man of your word etc. If he camps this summer it will get interesting cause the staff really likes him.

Here is the thing..If his HS coach really thinks he is an elite QB that is ready for big time football, and really cares about the kid, he would tell him to go to a higher profile school...It is freakin KANSAS.

Yeah. The coach should recruit him away from his school.

Then just own the selfishness of it. "Hey kid I know it's KANSAS, but I really need you, so I don't really care that much about your future"

What you said is an oversimplification. He shouldn't push him away, but he should be honest about opportunity. I mean the kid may really just like..freakin KANSAS.

What you're saying is ridiculous and jumping to conclusions.

The kid knows his other opportunities. Nobody forcing him to commit or not listen to other programs.
