I want this kid and Gray at TN.
I was thinking about this earlier. Again, refer to his quotes in post #6 - about not wanting to be part of a duo. Think about how @Atlanta VOL said we might get Tyrion davis to flip to us if Emery goes there.
I can't help but wonder if part of his expressed interests to coaches during visits is to be the lone running back in a class.
We didn’t pass on Etienne...neither did LSU.
Etienne was committed to A&M BEFORE we accepted Coleman’s commitment and he chose Clemson over us BEFORE Jordan was even heard of at the last second. My source is paying attention to what actually happened.I don’t know about LSU. But my source is a recruiting analyst who got that info from Bob Welton and Robert Gillespie. In fact, when I talked with him about Etienne again this weekend, he said that they made it sound like Coleman was a definite take and they were deciding between Jordan and Etienne as the 3rd RB they’d take. Obviously, they thought way too highly of Coleman.

I don’t believe your source. Etienne was highly sought by our staff. He passed on us.Yes.
Coleman committed to Tennessee on June 18, 2016.
Etienne committed to aTm June 11, 2016, de-committed from aTm on August 1, 2016, and committed to Clemson January 26, 2017 (13 days after visiting Tennessee as an uncommitted recruit).
Jordan committed to Tennessee January 23, 2016. He had de-committed from WKU on January 2, 2017 after Tennessee had offered on December 7, 2016.
So at the time Tennessee offered Jordan, yes, Coleman was committed to Tennessee, Jordan was committed to WKU, and Etienne was uncommitted. And based on what my source said that Welton/Gillespie told him, the choice for the final RB spot was between Jordan and Etienne, not Etienne and Coleman. My point is, they could have taken Etienne and Jordan and cut Coleman loose. And they should have.
