LADY VOL HOOPS CENTRAL: Alabama

I wasn't talking about the length of time on a message board, Skippy. I've been a Lady Vols fan FAR longer than I've been posting on this board. And you know how often I post on South Carolina's sports forums? That would be never. Why would I? I'm not desperate for validation from SC's fans, nor do I feel the need to go to rival boards to brag that the team I support is better. The fact that you feel that need says a great deal about you, none of it very flattering.

If I agree with you, will it end our conversation?

Why are you asking me? If you want to end the conversation, end it. It's not as if you're some special snowflake that we all want to keep hanging around, nor are your insights all that insightful. So . . . go.

The Vols should take a page out of UConn's book. UConn is the only team to beat South Carolina this year, and they did it by playing man-to-man defense the ENTIRE game and face-guarding Mitchell. Why not use a game plan that is proven to work against South Carolina?

An undersized Missouri team did a pretty good job against the Game Cocks. Might not be bad to copy their game plan.:good!:

In the first half when TN was bringing the ball up the court Bob said Bama was bringing the ball up the court. Not once but I know twice he said that......what a loon. This was another good win for our girls.....like #41 straight against Bama. GBO!!

I hate that Izzy is lost for the season. I like her, a lot. I said BEFORE the UConn game that if we got run off the court(which we did), it wouldn't bode well for your team.

And, THAT is with or without Izzy. Sorry, that's just what it is. But, I can already see what the excuse is going to be.:whatever:

Sorry, I know USC and its fans probably want to make this into some kind of redemption game to make a statement but that went out the window with Harrison's injury. Despite all the false bravado of some of the fans here, there is no reason this game should be close. With Harrison Tennessee has a puncher's chance, without her this game SHOULD absolutely be a double digit win for USC. If it isn't you have to start wondering about Dawn's coaching and how good your team really is because on paper the Lady Vols are significantly outmanned. The Cocks already had their chance to prove they were legit and they blew it....

That's the problem. You seem to believe that the girls are trying to seek approval. They're not. UConn destroyed us. That's obvious. But, giving you a boot up the arse, and taking the conference title is a nice consolation prize.

BS. After getting humiliated in this season's "game of the century" they will come into this game with plenty to prove.

If they don't, Staley should be fired. If they do, I'm sure you will be here to tell us about it unlike the UConn game when you ended up on a milk carton after so much pre-game chatter.... :cray:

Why would anyone listen to Kesling call any game?

I know that to be exactly right. But on the TV channel, Fox Sport South, he & Brittany Jackson called the TN LV game so I didn't have a choice in the matter but to watch & listen.

Agreed! Furthermore, we've been relevant. USC is just becoming relevant. Don't get to cocky.

We endured Georgia fans in the 90's and LSU fans in the 00's, and at least those teams actually beat UConn and went to Final Fours. We will endure South Carolina and their 15 minutes....

This . . . Tennessee is STILL relevant. South Carolina has a great team this year and they've got a good shot at beating the Lady Vols on Monday. However, those who are automatically counting out the Lady Vols are making a mistake, and if South Carolina goes into this thinking it's going to be an easy win, they need to think again (and I don't necessarily believe Staley or her team think that, but I think some of their fans (and some of our NegaVols) do). Tennessee has been relevant and is still relevant; South Carolina is relevant now, but can they maintain that relevance? I'm not yet convinced they will. Staley had some great recruits literally fall into her lap, but we'll see how she does with recruiting over the course of the next few years. So far, 2015 and 2016 haven't looked all that promising for her. South Carolina is not a top-notch school academically, not even close, and I'd think a lot of recruits might consider Duke or UNC more than they would consider USC, if they are looking for a school in that area. When/If South Carolina can consistently recruit top players year in and year out and consistently beat Top 10 teams (and boost up a weak out-of-conference schedule), I might be convinced they are truly relevant. Until then, not so much. Smoke and mirrors . . .

Who are you to convince anything? How many of those previous championship did you contribute to? I'll wait. You're just a damn spectator like me. This conference has been under Tennessee's lead forever yet their has not been a single representative in the final four since 08 from anyone in the conference.

Again, we aren't going to get any better by playing your depleted squad. It's really an unnecessary blip on the conference schedule at this point.

No fan base except one wants to fire their coach after every game. And at least we played UConn, got smoked and got better from it. I don't see any benefit to Monday's game except to boost attendance.

This thread is only 10% of our fan base if that.

Apparently you don't follow the football fan base as closely as women's basketball. Especially after Spurrier got outcoached by Butch.... again.

Injuries or not, Tennessee is still the second best team on your schedule. So I guess USC will only learn from one game this season.... that they don't belong on the same court as UConn.
