I can't believe all the Holly bashing, The players missed probably 12 layups, and lets face it the refs swallowed their whistles on many of UT's offensive rebounds. Am I utterly disappointed yes, but it's one game. I will say I absolutely hated the starting lineup. Burdick, Carter, and Reynolds must be replaced by Massengale, Nared and Middleton now. UT is not a good rebounding team at all right now. Carter and Reynolds right now should only be drivers, neither is a confident jump shooter. I'll be interested to see how the team play against Texas

Louisiana Tech had the guts to fire an alumna coach who was underachieving. Bet UT won't.

The LV mystique is now gone. We used to be the standard that all programs shot for. We are now an ordinary program at best.

Holly is now 1-2 versus UTC. That should be a huge red flag for anyone that is holding out hope or continuing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Graves had 5 turnovers tonight. She should not handle the ball at all. Just be there to rebound. We had 9 total assists tonight and 12 turnovers. Horrible Holly.

I think we need the guts to hire the new La. Tech coach. He can't be any worse than what we have.

LOL. Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not Mrs. Jones. I do believe she's on this board but haven't seen that person posting tonight.

And yes, I do think it's a good idea to set up the final shot for the player with the hot hand. However, if that was the play drawn up for Jones, it's another poor reflection on our coaching staff.

Agreed on this,with a note that Jones has been a turnover in waiting for over two years. So why set a play for her when she's noted for jump shots when she could drive the lane? Really inexplicable.

The way she was scoring tonight was feeding her down low so doesn't it make sense then to design a play where she is 12 feet out? Makes sense to me.

And she is on the Wade Watch list ? she`s not a good post player not being rude just telling the truth.

what kills me is when we had the chance to take the lead with an easy layup by Graves and it would have been a three point play by foul on the shot, she blows the easy bunny and Chatty got the rebound. No foul called.

I think 3 of "her" turnovers were ill-advised passes by Burdick into a crowd in the paint where Graves had no hope of grabbing them cleanly.

I liked Dawn Staley, Louisville Coach and California coach. Didn't think Holly deserved to be handed the job. Never works out. She hasn't had to earn her stripes.

Please don't mention Burdick. She was like the #4 player coming out of high school. Staggers the imagination.

She has actually regressed as a player each year she's been in Knoxville. Tells you something about the non-quality of coaching she's been receiving.

Other than perhaps Harrison, I can't think of any player who has noticeably improved under Warlick's watch.

People need to lay off JJ. She is the only reason we came back. She should have driven to the basket and she knew it as soon as she let it go. We get all our experienced players back except Izzy and we revert to no flow with the ball movement. This was the worst coached game by Holly that I've seen and I have seen every game she has coached. We had Graves in for defense and rebounding and she did neither and I've never seen a player that sucks at layups as bad as her. I thought Anosiki was bad but Shar as at another level. I don't understand why our bell cow for the season didn't get to play but a couple of minutes in the 2nd half. Gule said she wasn't playing defense but nobody else was either. She can at least hit a layup. Poor decisions on the lineup tonight put us in a hole in the first half. Pretty pathetic performance but it's just one game. Let's see what they do in Texas. GLV

We should have never even been in that position. We're easily 25 points better at their place.

Not sure that will fire Holly, she'll either have to step down on her own or they let her contract run out and then start doing a thorough coaching search to find the right coach for the job.

No one's dissing Jones. She had a great game. Just dissing the coach who drew up the poorly designed play to her. Play to her strengths not her weaknesses. Should have cleared out and had Reynolds drive and dish to Jones, Moore or Graves. Simple.

They are not going to replace Holly. We'll be a top 20 team every year and that will suffice the administration. They don't want to pay a big salary to a women's basketball coach.
