I think we can win the first two games. I give us about 25% chance to elite 8, but I would put money on South Carolina losing before then.

No expectations for this team could easily lose to Green Bay in the first round. They will drive the ball and shoot threes two things some of our players can't defend. I will watch and hope we win.

Interesting fact about Wis - Green Bay: They went to 4 straight Dances from '09-'12, including one appearance in the Sweet Sixteen. During that run, they were coached by Matt Bollant in his 2nd thru 5th years there. He was hired by them out of Bryan College - in Dayton, TN.

His wife was a good friend of my wife while they were here and it's a real rags to riches story. He went from making probably 40-50K a year coaching a small Christian college team to instantly well into the 6-figures. After his radical success at Wis GB, he was hired by Illinois, easily doubling or more that salary (too lazy to look up numbers). He's not doing very well there, but it's a power 5 division.

Good guy, great family. Good to see the good guys succeed sometimes.

We really got lucky.
Duke finished 20-12, 8-8 ACC
Out of the 12 losses, only Georgia Tech/NC State/Wake Forest were unranked. When was the last time we had a NCAA tournament without a Duke,UNC, NC State?
I understand our SOS was strong, but Duke wasn't too shabby either.
I'm not just going to get my hopes up for this tournament, I've had enough misery from this season ... "oh, we will beat them, no worries on this game." At this point, I'm going to try and have more realistic expectations, and if they win games, it will just make my day all that better.
Good Luck!

I couldn't watch all of it. Holly sounds hesitant and unsure. I hope they've focus on offense the last two weeks. I can't endure another dreadful shooting night. We need to at least score in the high sixties to make a serious run. Its sad, please don't let next season be like this one.

She needs to put on her big girl britches and get to work instead of worrying if everybody can see she is clueless and wondering how long till her paychecks quit coming.

I couldn't stand to watch more than a third of that interview.

We can beat GB on our height alone, however, Holly Ball, will make it difficult. This team is like a bunch of roaches they are all over you, and we make way too many unforced errors to trust dribble, dribble throw it inside offense. In addition, you have to pray that Russell will not bring the ball down and have it taken away from her by a 5' 7" guard, or that she simply drops the ball. If it were me I would play Moore at center.

The other problem is GB shoots some serious 3s, so we will have to play some serious defense. Holly will also have to refrain from trying to slow down the game because that will be playing into GB's hands. We have what it takes to win this game and reach the sweet 16, but that will weigh heavily upon coaching. Go with what won for us during our 3 game winning streak. GB is better than Alabama or LSU. If we lose this one Holly's Rein of record setting negatives should come to an end. Actually she should be on the hottest seat in women's basketball after 2916 recruiting, not remaining in at least the top 20, and an awful coaching job. If she loses thus one, that should be it.:clapping:

I wonder if she is on some kind of meds? She doesn't know if she is coming or going...

And you can take so much satisfaction, that the Lady Vols will lose in the first round. smh, one bad year and mutiny, sink the ship.

Green Bay can play, if we press we win, the same for both games. Here's two quality wins in AZ, Lady Vols! If we are not physical, ooooooooooohhhh!

Let's goo Lady Vols, one game at a time. DD, you are the player that suppose to get us to the second week. Let's go, time to put up or shut up.

Woohoooo. I'm so excited, cos I don't know what to expect. Here's to a great tournament.

++++++++++++

You are the only one I can see readily singing HW praises.

I think Holly is a fine person. Unfortunately, being a fine person and being a fine coach are two different things as demonstrated by the head coaches at UConn and Maryland. This year should have been a sobering experience for Holly, enough so that she will willingly pass the whistle and clipboard to somebody who's better at what she's being paid to do.

Tennessee will have to dominate with their size to win this game. If not, Green Bay will present a serious problem. They are a very well balanced offensive team. I've watched them the past two years and they move the ball, efficiently. They also rely on their bench players. Tesha Buck comes off the bench and is a proven scorer. DD and JN will have to lock her down.

Out of all the coaching interviews I saw this weekend, Holly's is by far the worse. If she talks the same way to recruits, no wonder she lacks the ability to recruit mice to play in a cheese factory. I can not believe she thinks her inside out turn the ball over offense really works. Hopefully she is teaching the guards not to bounce passes into a double team, not throw waist high passes into a 6' 6" post and teaching the 6'6" to keep the ball high.
