Kind of off topic , but hearing Dawn and USC submitting a waiver request to have Tea' Cooper Play this year !:blink:

This is more common then you think ... ND did the same thing with Jessica Shepherd. Washington did it when Natalie Romero transferred from Nebraska to Washington. The NCAA has cleared other athletes for weird reasons before but she transferred due to the fact she was basically forced to leave school. She SHOULD have to sit out a year because she transferred just like THE UK to USC transfer and Azura Stevens who went Duke to UCONN. She didn’t move closer to home because a family member is sick or anything like that.

Huh? Already? If true, I found it strange for her to verbal there anyway without visiting UT but I know how some of these things manifest and I wondered was it her decision or someone else making the decision for her

Always felt like a rushed decision to me. Probably couldn't handle the emotions of an OV... then got home and was like "wait... I just committed to Kansas? KANSAS? OH NO!"

And now she wants out. Lol

Well she was given the option to transfer or be kicked off so we shall see. So i would not be shocked if this is really being considered.

Point being transferring to another school requires sitting out unless there is another issue involved like emergency, family issues, etc. Her having to sit out a year because of injury should not have any bearing on whether she shouldn’t have to sit out because of the transfer rule. Plus given the option to transfer or being kicked off was the classy move by UT.

The difference is Shepard and Cooper were both injured last year so both have technically already sat out a year, where as Stevens wasn’t injured at Duke the season before she transferred.

Had Cooper transferred when she originally wanted to, she would be playing this season anyway.

I hope it is approved, going 2 straight years without playing will be rough.

Uhmmm NO! She put her hands on another athlete and was dismissed by the university!! Two straight years of not playing should be rough when you do something to put yourself in the position NOT to play... it’s rough when you have back to back injuries. It’s rough when you have to transfer closer to home because a family member is sick. It is rough when you have to leave your school because you have no backing from administration and you don’t receive the same treatment as your male basketball counterpart. Having to sit out because of your misconduct is not rough. It’s life!

Should this raise a flag? Is skilledup reliable? Who is this carter? Does carter have tuberculosis or chicken pox, or is she a bad apple?

Please, no more drama-thons and meddling moms!

Maybe Tamika Catchings(Duncanville HS grad) contacted her and said 'Kansas, really'.

Jessica didn’t sit out she played in and started 29 games last year. Cooper sat out due to injury but she did transfer to another NCAA institution. She could have gone JUCO route and came back like others to play. She didn’t sit out because of a transfer is my point which usually requires a year when you transfer within the same division if I’m not mistaken. Again, I wouldn’t be surprised if it is approved because the NCAA has made weird decisions before.

This also brings me to another point ? Was this Tea’s first incident at UT with misconduct? Or does UT have some type of no tolerance rule? Seems sort of extreme to be asked to leave if this was a first offense? I was a D1 athlete and my teammates got into it and the teammate that instigated it was suspended but not asked to leave. I know all universities are different but it seems like we are always reading about a football player being suspended not released from the team due to misconduct.

Carter is a highly rated freshman point guard. I looked up Texas A&M and they will have 12 players next year, with zero commits so far in 2018.

Did all three recruits from Duncanville HS commit the same visit?

Yup all 3 committed the same weekend

Did all three decommit from kansas

Officially only one has decommitted, Starr, and she’s already verbaled to Houston (her Twitter) Green has removed her ‘ committed to Kansas’ On her Twitter, but has also hasn’t said one word about decommitting.

Someone mentioned Saxton earlier ... report she’s down to Uga and Louisville, and on an official this weekend with Louisville.

I think that was SCSpur... was saying Saxton was looking at SC

Maybe seeing the team chemistry that everyone says is improved and an actual practice will help sway her.

There were also battles that she (Coach Summitt) lost also and most of the time they were done with poor integrity of other coaches (Brittany Griner and Maya Moore) which sounds like it was in this case to me

But we are past it, moving on! We have other young ladies in this class and future classes that we need to focus on!

Will not be moving on until a real head coach is hired
