I see uconn is looking at Eziyoda Magbegor, were we looking at her too?

Magbegor is still undecided whether or not she will take the American college route.

Tennessee, UConn and many other top programs are showing a lot of interest. There is mutual interest between Magbegor and Tennessee.

she could play 1 year professionally in AUS then declare for WNBA ?

She signed with Cannaberra this season so she could possibly enter the draft next season. Correct me if im wrong ? 1 year of professional experience , 21 years of age or turning 21 in calendar year right ?

Rae Burrell visits on a home football weekend. Skip the game and take in another activity, possibly Gatlinburg.

I realize that they will not skip the game, just for the atmosphere. Hope they go the Womens Basketball Museum.

I love the Women's Basketball Museum. If I am correct they cannot pay for her way into it. :)

If I am not mistaken, a visit to the WBB Museum and Hall of Fame would be considered entertainment and, if so, there is an allowance of $40.00 per day that may be spent on the admission cost for the student-athlete, host and parents/guardians. I don't know if they could actually get in for that amount.

Looks like they could afford the hall of fame tour...if you got the student, mom, dad, and host that would cost 31.80

So what is the rule on the flight and meals. I assume the University can pay for official visit flight costs and meals for the recruit, but what about parents.

So I guess the football game would not count toward entertainment considering how the team is playing.

It less then 40 dollars, I've been a couple years back. Did not know about the $40 per day. I was thinking a few years back Tennessee got in trouble for taking an recruit to the Hall of fame museum. I'm probably wrong.

Such things are covered under a different paragraph. Transportation for the student-athlete and parents as well as accommodations and three meals per day are permitted. Complimentary admission to a school sporting event is also permitted under a separate category and separate from "entertainment".

Her brother just accepted a scholarship to play basketball for University of Western Georgia. Could draw her here. Her goals are to play in the WNBA and represent Australia in the Olympics.

The WNBA requires at that one of these be filled: (1) players to be at least 22 (2) completed their college eligibility/graduated from a four-year college (3) be four years removed from high school

She turned 18 in August and is finishing her senior year of high school this year. She would be a 2019 recruit. I honestly can see her coming and joining her brother and trying the college route. If she doesn't like it, she can always go back to Australia and play pro.

How was Liz Cambage able to come over then with those rules ? Does those requirements apply to non-American born players ?

No. But if you play college ball even for a year, you will have to wait (Angela Salvadores who played at Duke for a year would have to wait till she is 22). Emma Meeseman was also just 19 when she was drafted.

Maria Vadeeva and Raisa Musina are both eligible for next year's WNBA draft (the 2 stars of the Russian team that beat USA at the U19).

I'm missing something here. Help me: why would she be a 2019 recruit?

What about 6'3 post Victoria Saxton from GA? Prospect Nation has her listed as 6'1 and ranked #31 (8th post). She's a little lanky, but kind of reminds me of Vicki Baugh. I'm sure it might be too late to start recruiting her, if we haven't already. She is from GA. Anyone know if she has a list? Guess we'll probably go the JUCO route for a post next season. Not opposed, just wished there was more info available on JUCO players

Saxton has been closed lipped about her recruitment process but she is a sleeper. She has led her team to 2 Nike national championships and at 6'2" she's a beast in the post. Last I heard her final two suitors were Louisville and South Carolina. Pretty sure she's going to visit both and make her final decision during the early signing period.

I agree that 6'2" isn't tall enough to be a legit center. But Graves wasn't a post--she was a power forward. She played some post, yes, after Harrison got injured a couple of years ago. but that was only for a short time.

Height can be overrated and not necessarily needed. Look how many teams have been to the Final Four or won the national championship in recent years without a starter over 6'1" or 6'2". There are many 6'1" or 6'2" girls who can defend bigger posts very well. It also take teamwork. UCONN hasn't had much height on a lot of their championship teams.
