Lamonte Turner out for the season

Without Turner I think we’re at bubble team at best. Going to be interesting what our lineup will look like and how some of these freshmen might improve.

Honestly, we were a bubble team with Turner, at least the unhealthy version, so the odds are stacked against us now.

Turner and Bowden needed to be healthy and have good seasons. Obviously that didn't happen. Without that we were in trouble from the get go.

I think Barnes was confident Uros would get cleared and that Blackshear was coming. The rumor is that the Bone thing caught him off guard.

You had a couple of years where UT got nothing in recruiting. I thought Derrick Walker would work out. I never had any expectations for Kent and still can’t understand why Barnes wasted a minute recruiting some kid from Delaware that wasn’t a physical big. The Burns thing still leaves me scratching my head. He would be a good compliment to Fulk and put less pressure on ON, although I’m not sure they sign him if Burns stays. No question Johnson will have an opportunity, but he just looks like he doesn’t give rip. As it stands, this is a really weak roster and losing Lamonte makes it even more so.

Has he had surgery yet? If not, wouldn't it be awesome if he came back after resting that shoulder for a month or 2? I have no idea if that condition can get better simply by letting it heal.

Yes, he's had surgery already. Barnes mentioned it in one of his pressers.
