Pre injury I would agree. The guy was a monster.
After injury not so much.
He had alot of crucial passes go through his hands that would have been 1st down or automatic TD's.
I wish him the best but he was never the same when he came back.
CP was a stud also but his lack of route running hurt us also.
Our two top LBs got on the first day when they declare. Also the previous year our defense was the 28th so the drastic drop off in production with the same players shows a lack of coaching not talent.
I won't say I agree with you, But that defense could possibly be the slowest defense ever!:banghead2:
Actually, your secondary might be the worst in the SEC, and not simply because of coaching. Your LBs are in the back of the pack in the SEC as well.
No doubt, Tennessee had more talent than their record would indicate. But there are still some major issues that go beyond coaching.

LB's back of the pack? Sal said those were potentially the best LB's he has ever coached in Johnson and Maggitt. Secondary has alot of highly rated players, just need someone to coach them. Secondary was better the yr before under different coach's and were a yr younger. So actually it was mostly coaching. When your not getting much pass rush it doesnt matter what your have in the secondary. As your coach said, there is no such thing as a lock down corner.
