Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Thanks for your response. Sorry for the losses in your congregation from the tornado. I am of the conservative Christian Churches. correct, not DOC. There are plenty of First Christian Churches which are not DOC. just a name thing. I actually respect many CoC guys. I even use some of their commentary stuff for my sermons. I have The Fourfold Gospel by McGarvey on my desk right now for some research.

Thanks, we had several. Youth minister list a baby. Couple others. Several lost homes, etc. Cookeville was torn up as a whole. Sad. It's still a wreck. clean up and recovery is a long process.

Obviously, you know the history of the two churches, so a typical CC and CoC not much difference in beliefs. The ones that do exist, IMO, are not salvation type belief differences. The FCC/DOC gets into female pastors and such and are more evangelical and not ever rooted in with CC and CoC in their beginnings. Like the CoC, the CC as we are speaking also remains "autonomous." The preacher at the CC we did attend had a vast knowledge of popular CoC guys and used them quite a bit also. If your holding McGarvey, you are conservative. We both have "liberal" congregations so to speak. Funny thing. Collegeside is accused locally by some to be a wild church. I've never witnessed a thing. And I would be one to be totally uncomfortable with a "wild" service. See some clapping during songs, depending on the song, but that's about it. No biggie. Thanksgiving singing rotates each year between the four big congregations locally. There are like over a hundred in the two counties total just CoC. One boycotted when it was our turn because of clapping and such. we just ignore that stuff. It was one song in particular, and we even promised not to do that one. My boss is at a church that views us that way. I have set him straight a few times on how we really are.

You do realize there's massive grade inflation at Ivy League schools, right? The most common grade in many classes is an A and the average grade an A-minus. Almost everyone graduates with honors.
Seriously, just say she's a Trump and I don't like her. That's a lot more credible than calling her an "airhead Barbie" or questioning her Ivy League education. Especially since none of us know her personally. You can disagree with someone's politics without hurling insults. I know, that's a novel concept on VN.

She attended Georgetown, then transferred to the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania(Ivy League) where she graduated with honors. You can hate her for being a Trump, but calling her an "airhead Barbie" is in no way being observant, and absolutely a case of being biased.
How did she ever manage to get into her dads alma mater?

You do realize that Obama graduated from Harvard with honors? No big deal, I guess, according to you.

You left out the great jokes, movie and music references, food discussion, and some pictures.

Worst. Cliffsnotes. Ever.
No one reads this thread for the politics. It's all about the jokes and put downs.

And graduate with honors? After attending Georgetown? Don't be dense PJ. Connections always help, but you still have to do the work.
Well, someone has to do the work.

She may be intelligent but the Kushners are in no way qualified for the responsibilities they're being given. They're not even apprentice level

Curious. If true, why have people made a big deal out of him not releasing his grades? Honest question.

The fact that the actual mortality rate is less than 3%--which I think everyone accepts--does not entail that the actual mortality rate is specifically .2%. Where is he getting this number? Again, the only situation we have where an entire population was tested is the Diamond Princess. The mortality rate there was over 1% of those who tested positive. And mortality rate doesn't tell you a whole lot since you also have to look at how many people are likely to get infected.
If you are using the diamond princess for the deatha, why not the infection rate too?

Looks like 3711. With 712 infected that's right around 19.2%. And you got to figure that's high being on a ship.

You take those numbers across america and you should see just over 63 million infected and about 630k deaths.

Considering we are aimed well below that Trump knocked this out of the park.

Of course the diamond princess is the worst case, imo. We will probably end up at less than 10% the worst case scenario. Not sure at what number you actually consider our system a success or failure. But that seems pretty good to me.

Never said they were, but that doesn't make her an airhead. I've stated previously I don't think any of the Trump kids or their spouses should be part of the administration. They don't have the necessary qualifications. That doesn't make them stupid.

We're talking about government-level work. My dog could do it. And She went to Bama on an Academic scholarship and graduated with "honerz". Says so on her diplomer.

What would constitute “screwing stuff up”? Given that bankrupting businesses in the Trump family is considered a good business strategy by some on this board, what benchmark should we be looking for that is under that low bar?
I figured you all would at least have something to prove your case.

I think she went to Nashville School of Law(formerly the YMCA Nashville Night School of Law). Not sure they have traditional accredidation.
Fwiw, I know several really good lawyers who went to night school at the Nashville School of Law.
