Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Have to say I am proud of my teams. We were in the black $54,000 last month when rolled up. Still a punch in the balls but not in the red.
I think I remember maybe you said you were with Darden. If so, I think my daughter goes back to OG next week. I think they're spreading shifts around or something.
Edit: If it wasn't you, it was somebody who posts here.

Michigan House Won’t Extend State of Emergency, Votes to Sue Gov. Gretchen Whitmer Instead

The Michigan House of Representatives declined to extend Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s state of emergency another 28 days, and instead voted on Thursday to sue her.

Whitmer’s initial state of emergency order, which is separate from the stay-at-home order, expires on Thursday and requires legislative action to be lengthened.

Negotiations on that front fell apart on Wednesday when Whitmer refused to make any concessions on the matter, asserting she has the ultimate control of emergencies.

So the House voted to authorize Speaker Lee Chatfield to sue the governor, saying Whitmer’s “unchecked and undemocratic approach” is not the best way, ABC 12 reported.

“The current status quo relies on one-size-fits-all edicts that unfairly punish millions of people across the state without giving them any recourse or voice in the process,” Chatfield said.

“The people deserve a better solution, and we can provide it.”

The House also passed a resolution restricting a governor’s state of emergency declarations to 14 days. Whitmer has vowed to veto that legislation.

Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the capitol and demanded the state be reopened.

“We want Michigan open, we want Michigan back to work,” Jason Howland, one of the protest organizers, told Fox 17.

“We put the event together, we put it on Facebook, and we heard that they were taking down events that had to do with protests or rallies against the wishes of Whitmer,” he said.

Facebook confirmed it removed the protest page “because the event would have defied government guidance on social distancing,” the site reported.

The Senate is expected to vote on a similar resolution authorizing leaders to pursue legal action against Whitmer’s orders.

Boom ..There it is !

Both articles have the same date 30 April, but FP's one says Thursday (today) re: the House, and yours says Wednesday.
I don't think it's the same suit.
I’m sure it’s not. Just saw the article earlier. I haven’t paid attention to it. I don’t understand the fascination with Michigan. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Michigan I believe is like Virginia was to the 2a , the things that happen there will probably be duplicated in other states if possible .

Nobody I speak with knows anyone that has been impacted. I have friends and acquaintances that have provided third-hand accounts. No real details. Seems strange.

I have had 3 direct reports whose spouses were tested for it. 2 came back positive and one negative.

I knew someone with some past medical issues from Virginia who died from it in a hospital in the Tri Cities.

Sorry to hear.
There was also a lady with a small child or children also in Virginia, and I did not know her (but I have some friends who did). She passed away pretty suddenly and was in her 30s maybe??? not old
Edit: I do not believe she was a hospital death, and I have not heard anything about if the children had it. ??? I am pretty sure she had the test and passed away at home before they could get her to the hospital and the test came back positive. At least that is what I was told by people who knew her and the family.

Illinois Gov. Pritzker: It’s ‘Inappropriate’ to Ask if My Wife Dodged My Stay-at-Home Order

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) on Wednesday said it is “inappropriate” to question his wife’s whereabouts in response to reports that his billionaire spouse, M.K. Pritzker, left town, effectively dodging the state’s stringent stay-at-home orders by purportedly fleeing to their $12.1 million equestrian estate in South Florida.

Pritzker recently extended the state’s stay-at-home order until May 30 as he continues to promote the “All-in Illinois” initiative, encouraging residents by letting them know that “we’re all in this together.” However, according to a report from the Patch, the state’s first lady is not “all in,” as she reportedly fled to the family’s multimillion-dollar equestrian estate in South Florida as millions of Illinoisans find themselves unable to return to work as a result of her husband’s orders.

Pritzker refused to address his wife’s whereabouts during Wednesday’s press briefing, calling it “inappropriate” and stating that it is “reprehensible” that the Patch reporter originally covered the story.

“Where’s the first lady? Is she accompanied by a state security detail has she engaged a non-essential travel? What is your response to people who say the state home order and non-essential travel bans aren’t being abided by your family?” he was asked.

“I believe there’s a report from Illinois Rising Action that says that she recently traveled to Florida,” the woman added.

“Well first of all, I want to say that in politics it used to be that we kept our families out of it,” Pritzker said, contending that his “official duties” have nothing to do with his family.

“You know my official duties have nothing to do with my family, so I’m just not going to answer that question. It’s inappropriate and I find it reprehensible, honestly, that that that reporter wrote a story about it,” he added:

Despite Pritzker’s assertion that his wife should remain out of the spotlight, she has been involved in public political efforts in recent weeks, teaming up with Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) and Chicago first lady Amy Eshleman to raise money for the Arts for Illinois Relief Fund “to provide financial assistance to the city’s creative scene and cultural organizations impacted by the coronavirus pandemic,” according to the Chicago Sun Times.

Additionally, the first lady reportedly has an office in the Illinois Capitol and the James R. Thompson Center, as well as a taxpayer-funded staffer, who makes an estimated $90,000 per year.

“What’s inappropriate is the Pritzker family’s track record of abiding by the rules only when it suits them,” Kayleen Carlson, executive director of Illinois Rising Action told Breitbart News in an exclusive statement.

“The First Lady has a taxpayer-funded staffer and two taxpayer-funded offices – so her whereabouts are not off limits,” Carlson added.

While Pritzker faces legal challenges over the extension of Illinois’ stay-at-home order, Florida — where his wife is purportedly residing — is slowly reopening.
