This is what I don't get, both sides talk about the direction this country has gone, yet by and large we are more than willing to vote down party lines and elect those who have been the most consistent entities in the perceived failures.DC is a cesspool of incompetent buffoons and Biden is a part of it for 50 years.
The weak were going to appear to be hit first. And with its prevelancy its hit far more of the population than we knew.I have noticed that the disease is no where near as potent as it seemed like it was at first.... I don’t know if it is weakening or warmer weather is helping but I have noticed the overwhelming majority of new cases has little to no symptoms and very very few require hospitalizations.
At a JBS USA plant in Greeley, Colorado, absenteeism is running as high as 30%. Before the pandemic, it was about 13%. The company is paying about 10% of the workforce -- people deemed vulnerable -- to stay home. Others aren’t coming in because they are sick.
So typically absenteeism runs about 13% according to the article and they are paying 10% of it's workforce to stay home due to them being deemed vulnerable by the company itself. So they are seeing about a 7% increase in call outs. That article headline is painting a picture that just isn't there.
Also from the article
The company has had more success at its plant in Souderton, Pennsylvania, which also reopened recently and is running “beyond expectations,” JBS said.
So out of 1500 that tested positive only 150 had symptoms of covid
About 1,500 workers came in for the first day of free testing, with about 10% of them showing symptoms of coronavirus, she said, adding that test results were expected within 48 hours. The plant has about 3,700 employees, and testing will continue for the next several days.
More numbers from the article paint a death rate of .004% which tell us maybe this Virus isn't as bad as we once thought
Conditions at U.S. meat plants contributed to increased risk of infections, and ultimately more than 4,900 workers fell ill, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The agency cited difficulty maintaining social distancing and adhering to the heightened cleaning and disinfection guidance among the factors that increased risks for workers. There were 20 deaths among employees as the virus spread to 115 meat plants across 19 states, data through late April showed.
So this essentially this article and its title were meant to stoke fear, however I took away some positives from it
Food shortages are happening regardless of the media.
You're literally going to cast a vote for a guy with dementia. He won't know where he is but will have the ability to blow stuff up worldwidePence says the task force is winding down. Trump gives reasons why.
Next day, Trump says task force continuing. May replace people.
Who can possibly vote for this schmuck again?
I get it , but if the media hypes it like they do everything else the panic will be off the charts when you walk into a Walmart or grocery store and the canned foods are gone . This is one place I believe the government should be focused on more than anything else . Nothing short of a attack from another country would send this place over the edge like a disruption in the food chain . It’s all fun and games sitting at home watching Netflix , learning how to make beaded necklaces with your kids while sipping on wine , until the pantry is bare and there’s nowhere to get more . I know that pointing out the obvious but I’m just sayin.
1. Wasnt a study. Even septic says that .That is obviously not what the VA study showed... and the point is, the President should not be accusing epidemiologists of playing politics when they discourage the use of a drug. That is BS and speaks to what a petty and egocentric person he is. Trump sees everything through the narrow lens of politics... and only as it pertains to what he perceives to be his own best interest.
There is nothing he can do as a legislature here. You expect him to take executive level powers to rid the agencies of corruption? Start investigations Congress doesnt have the power to run? Vote against all funding for them? Side with every anti Agency bill that comes across his desk no matter the further ramifications of said bill? Assume Trumps past, present, and continued innocence because other people were falsely sent to jail?Sure it is; when you state I'm misleading or misled, I challenge you to be specific, then rebut your argument. You're invited to state your case. If you need help, start with Carter Page.
it doesn't matter whether Trump and Amash were on opposite sides of his amendment. What does that have to do with his utter disregard for those agencies corruption, their launching baseless investigations into a campaign, president, entrapping and ruining 37 year veterans (Flynn), a known CIA asset/veteran/and FBI asset (Page), and run a rope a dope with foreign agents on Pappa? Are you saying Amash is that petty and vindictive, to let Trump staff hang over a policy disagreement with Trump?! Wooo...that's even worse than I stated it.
Further, it has nothing to do with Amash's support for impeachment, over three separate issues, from May 2017 (Comey memo), May 2019 (Mueller report), and Sept 2019 (Ukraine call).
It appears Amash has an impeach reflex re: Trump. TDS-Lite, perhaps.
Whatever the case, he looks good in the stall but don't run him on the track.
