Can't really agree with this. This is the choice.
"Remember, remember, the 3rd of November"
I'll pass. Anything reeking of authoritarianism like this needs to be dealt with by the people who have not given her these powers which she stumbles about with Willy nilly. No true individual would ever let someone come in and shut their livelihood down and be ok with it. No matter the reason. It is awesome. The nation is getting a preview of what progressive, authoritarian rule in America would look like.
You either necessarily agree with it or you don't. The constitution - the BOR specifically - is not an enumeration of your rights.
I'm supportive of government knowing it's place and being kept there. Whether that can be done in perpetuity via the ballot box is the question, isn't it? The authors of the constitution warned us it was unlikely.
It's just bass ackwards logic. Because we have one of the best CFRs, we can AFFORD to have less social distancing. The media is just desperate for clicks. TN has one the best CFRs in the country but:
Tennessee receives 'F' for social distancing

Why would he want that?
Unfortunately, you hit ll of the key points, but I think it will go over their heads. They consider that conspiracy theory/tinfoil hat talk.If your end goal is socialism you need to A. Get rid of hard currency B. Make currency digital so it's easily tracked C. Create a massive divide between the haves and have nots D. Make government the go to protector and big brother who decides what is fair E. Have a way to track everyone F. Control the products pipeline G. Create a system of pay from the government that is necessary to survive
I would say he is shooting for all of those.
Whitmer is just trying to fix the toilet paper shortage with all these useless unconstitutional tickets she's giving people.Michigan Judge Sides with Barber, Rejects Gretchen Whitmer Demand to Close Shop
A Michigan judge has denied a motion made by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s administration that an Owosso barber close up shop during the coronavirus outbreak.

Great Lakes News was outside Karl Manke’s Barber & Beauty Shop on Monday when the ruling came down.
Reporter Katie Heid said the judge denied the state’s claim that the 77-year-old Manke to close his shop because he was allegedly in violation of Whitmer’s stay-at-home order.
“This is not only a big victory for Mr. Manke, but also for other small businesses,” she said.
“Who else will open their doors?”
The state Attorney General lost in its effort to obtain a temporary restraining order, NBC 25 reported.
The Attorney General’s court action, filed on behalf of MDHHS, seeks to enforce the MDHHS Director’s Public Health Order that deemed Mr. Manke’s business an imminent danger to public health in light of the COVID 19 pandemic and directs him to immediately cease operations at his barbershop. The State is seeking to schedule a hearing as soon as possible. The AG asserted Manke’s open business presents “clear public health dangers”.
Manke told ABC 12 he reopened after unemployment benefits were denied three times.
The barber had been repeatedly fined for allegedly violating the shutdown orders, but supporters paid the fines.

It's like someone needs to put a giant sign that says "What were we trying to do again" in front of all government buildings.
Help me clarify. And let's assume for the sake of argument that there really is a pandemic. Are you saying the government has the right to require us to do things like wear facemasks but it's our job to elect officials who would not do so? Or are you saying there are personal rights that are not specifically enumerated and we have to elect officials who will protect those unenumerated rights?

Your perspective is cartoon-ish in its one dimensional simplicity. Such irrational, narrow-minded cynicism is an offshoot of the Trump doctrine. Everyone who states an opinion which runs counter to something Trump has advocated for, must hold a personal bias against him, by way of a politically-motivated agenda through either personal animosity or political affiliation. Whether or not there is any evidence of such bias, is inconsequential to the core belief that Trump is always right. It is the duty of Trump's minions to defend him, anywhere and in anyway that they can. It’s absolutely his goal. His intent is for 100 million Americans maybe more to suffer. At best he just likes the attention he receives from the left
