Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I do not see how one can honestly equate Biden’s loss of mental acuity with Trump’s stream of consciousness style. Indeed, Trump constantly speaks in somewhat incoherent fashion but usually comes back to the point he started with. So you might say there is a method to his madness. With Biden, there is only madness. And it’s plain to see.

Anyone with an average IQ understands. So if they don't understand then that tells you something about their IQ. They are probably a half stack short of insane but doesn't recognize it.

I'm willing to agree to disagree. But you really don't see the difference between the skill of public speaking and the ability to produce rational thought?

The point isn't that Biden can't speak. It's that a sudden onset inability to speak in someone that always could before is a symptom of a rapidly declining mental state.

Maybe you disagree with that premise, but you surely understand the difference. If you do disagree with the premise, there is really no reason to argue about it. The Biden campaign won't be able to hide him from rooms without a teleprompter forever.
We can interchange Trump for Biden in your post. All I'm saying.
They both suck at speaking. I don't think either have dementia.

As much as everyone on here crows about the DNC being super corrupt, do you honestly think the elders in the party would have allowed Biden to run if his health was slipping? I'm not sure what to believe here. Either the party is dumb and let an ailing man become the nominee, or they were corrupt and threw Bernie out the back door for the stronger candidate?

True but there are a couple of posters on here who seem to have at least an average IQ but still want to equate Biden’s shortcomings in speaking to Trump’s. That’s denial, dishonesty and/or partisanship.

I just searched this, and maybe I'm reading it wrong or looking at the wrong incident, but the guys who didn't want to wear a mask were being escorted out and one of them threw a punch. This lead to a Target employee's arm getting broken while they were scuffling. The posted tweet makes it seem like a Target employee broke a patron's arm. Target security guard breaks arm during fight with men who allegedly refused to wear face masks
Even if the employee broke the patron’s arm, it’s a private business. They have a right to refuse to serve someone not wearing a mask. Not a constitutional issue.

So should I defend the one old dude that screws up when he speaks, or the other old dude that screws up when he speaks? So confusing..

It won’t be confusing if they are on a debate stage together . Trump will have joe so confused he won’t know what day it is . He will need all those “after debate interviews” from CNN , just to try to get his message across .

I guess I misunderstood the context of your initial post. Based on the tweet I thought you were concerned about a person getting arrested for refusing to comply with an order to wear a facemask. I think the use of force by police has probably been thoroughly discussed in other contexts on this board (and some people may have differing views). I'm more curious about whether people think this was a lawful order.

It's obviously a lawful order, but that doesn't make it just, moral, or constitutional. I'm concerned with the order and this abusive enforcement. I'm concerned that we do not allow such people to remain in office or add to their numbers in November.

Well, then we will know I guess. I didn't think those debates would happen though; isn't Hillary supposed to swoop in at the convention?

I agree and I'll also point out that the tweet was from a former congressional candidate whose profile says he may run in 2020. He either has comprehension problems or is being intentionally misleading. He has also shown that he has a fundamental misunderstanding of the constitution. It definitely doesn't seem like he's qualified to be a congressman.

That’s Joes biggest concern or should be . I don’t believe anyone wants to put him one on one with Trump for 90 mins . He can’t make it through a set up 7 min video from his own home without jumbling figures and talking about what Obama and he did . I would personally be more concerned with a female Obama than a has also ran Hills .

Correct me if I'm wrong but every study that has reflected badly on HCQ did not include Z-pack and Zinc...

I think you are correct; that the CQ/HCQ reports of high efficacy have a zinc component and a patient group who are in early-mid stages of infection. If a person is severely-ill and no zinc component, efficacy appears to be very limited.

Also, I don't know what consistency, if any, there has been regarding dosage.
