Such irrational, narrow-minded cynicism is an offshoot of the Trump doctrine. Everyone who states an opinion which runs counter to something Trump has advocated for, must hold a personal bias against him, by way of a politically-motivated agenda through either personal animosity or political affiliation. Whether or not there is any evidence of such bias, is inconsequential to the core belief that Trump is always right. It is the duty of Trump's minions to defend him, anywhere and in anyway that they can.

I fail to see the difference between them honestly. They both misspeak constantly. If one has dementia, they both do if we are going to judge them by speaking gaffes. Yay for us.

I've missed a lot of pages of this conversation but as a person that thought it was initially a good idea to quarantine to lower the curve it is now time for the decision makers to start opening these state economies.

I think the ability to leave my house without getting my ass beat by the storm troopers isn't something that should be up for discussion in a ballot box.

There has to be some sort of universal agreement on what government over step looks like.

I don't that's possible at this moment. Rather than let off the gas, leftist officials appear to be increasing the use of coercion. The MI governor can literally ignore hundreds of demonstrators waving American flags, and instead paints the entire demonstration as racists, neo-Nazis because a few Confederate flags are waved and one woman with a swastika sign saying "Heil Whitmer" are protesting having their lives wiped out.

And media holds the paint can for her. We literally watch them in the same press conferences, or interviews, memory hole what was just said and in real time, give us the Newspeak version. As if we didn't just hear it with our own ears. It's a naked power play. They'll put down the club when it's taken from them.

I guess I misunderstood the context of your initial post. Based on the tweet I thought you were concerned about a person getting arrested for refusing to comply with an order to wear a facemask. I think the use of force by police has probably been thoroughly discussed in other contexts on this board (and some people may have differing views). I'm more curious about whether people think this was a lawful order.

I'm willing to agree to disagree. But you really don't see the difference between the skill of public speaking and the ability to produce rational thought?

The point isn't that Biden can't speak. It's that a sudden onset inability to speak in someone that always could before is a symptom of a rapidly declining mental state.

Maybe you disagree with that premise, but you surely understand the difference. If you do disagree with the premise, there is really no reason to argue about it. The Biden campaign won't be able to hide him from rooms without a teleprompter forever.

I do not see how one can honestly equate Biden’s loss of mental acuity with Trump’s stream of consciousness style. Indeed, Trump constantly speaks in somewhat incoherent fashion but usually comes back to the point he started with. So you might say there is a method to his madness. With Biden, there is only madness. And it’s plain to see.
