Yes, because someone who is obese is more likely to have diabetes and other pre-existing conditions such as heart disease and chronic high blood pressure, than the average physically fit person. Your point was an over-simplification, however. Losing weight will not rid someone of asthma, for example.

Nor will it rid someone of diabetes in most cases.

Agree 100%. I'll take it a step further. It's depressing. It shows Americans have become so complacent , they don't even value their freedoms anymore
Yep. Things were much better back in the good old days, when our government forced American citizens of Japanese ancestry into internment camps following the onset of World War II.

Sometimes, we use an idealized vision of what this country used to be, in order to make a point. True freedom in this country has always had its limitations.

You're kind of missing the whole point, political agendas shouldn't be pushed in schools, period.

You're kind of missing my whole point. This guy who is based in DC and associated with an American think tank posted that tweet without full context and most people who view it will probably assume it happened here. It didnt happen here and I pointed that out because I think that's an important fact. If you skip over pertinent facts you're just pushing fake news.

Yet you guys want to hand them more and more power. SMH.

Asthma doesn't appear to be nearly as big a problem with this virus as type 2 diabetes

Your example involved very few Americans. Today's examples involve pretty much all of us. Big difference

Do tell what president and party took those poor Americans rights away from them , just for the safety of the masses ?

How is that possibly Cuomo's fault? The US had not blocked flights from Europe when the virus hit NYC.
Cuomo owns two of the biggest screw ups I can think of:
1.) Sending COVID positive patients to nursing homes
2.) Didn’t sterilize the subway until 5 days ago

I think my 8 year old would have realized the first was bad, and could have come up with the idea of cleaning the subways, earlier then this

‘The Curve Has Been Flattened’: Michigan Doctors Sue Gov Whitmer Over Shutdown Order

A group of Michigan health practices and one patient filed a lawsuit against Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer over her shutdown order that is “risking lives and imperiling health.”

The owners of Grand Health Partners, Wellston Medical Center, and Primary Health Services, and Jeffery Gulick filed the lawsuit against Whitmer, state Attorney General Dana Nessel, and state health director Robert Gordon on Tuesday. The plaintiffs are pushing the governor to lift her ban on “non-essential” treatments, warning that the ban is endangering the lives of many patients.

“This shutdown is risking lives and imperiling health,” Grand Health Partners president and surgeon Dr. Randal Baker told Up North Live. “The curve has been flattened. There will likely be spikes of cases in the future, but we can’t shut down non-COVID health care every time. We need to reassess the best practices to save the most lives, particularly where COVID-19 cases are low.”

Whitmer banned elective surgeries throughout Michigan on March 20 while anticipating a flood of patients infected with the coronavirus. The administration expected a wave of hospitalizations that could overflow the state’s healthcare system. More than a month later, Whitmer has left the same strict rules in place and has extended them through May 28.

I literally cannot stand to look at this women. People talk about Cuomo. He looks like a choir boy compared to Whitler. She’s a tyrant and threat to Michigan’s citizens’ civil liberties.

She was auditioning for Biden and fell flat on her face. Of course, he probably likes that she is lying down.

Felon Freed from Jail Over Coronavirus Accused of Murdering Young Woman

A convicted felon who was freed from a Colorado prison over concerns of the Chinese coronavirus spreading has been arrested less than a month later for allegedly murdering a 21-year-old woman.

Cornelius Haney has been charged for the first-degree murder of Heather Perry, whose body was found in a Denver, Colorado alleyway, according to CBS Denver.

Haney allegedly murdered Perry less than a month after he was released from prison thanks to Gov. Jared Polis’s (D) executive order freeing some inmates from jails and prisons over fears of the coronavirus spreading in state and local detention facilities.

Haney had been serving a seven-year prison sentence after pleading guilty in 2016 to an armed robbery in Arapahoe County, Colorado. Haney was not eligible for mandatory release until August, but Polis’s order giving the state’s corrections board authority to reduce sentences over the coronavirus allowed the felon to secure early release on April 15.

But thank God FDR died before that crap got any worse

Even worse then sanitizing them was shutting down half of the subways forcing essential workers packed into the other cars like sardines.

I’ve said it before but it’s worth repeating .. I’m not taking any new “ cure “ for a virus that I believe has been way over blown . I will however happily watch all the sheeple line up in the corrals to get theirs and watch the results as time goes by .

As a healthy guy in n good shape with no underlying health issues, I think it’s nuts to line up for a vaccine that was rushed to production.

All for a virus that i wouldn’t worry about being exposed to tonight??
