55% of those numbers are because Governors of three states moved Covid patients to nursing homes.Remember when Republicans lost their **** because a husband wanted to end life support on his comatose wife? A woman who had been in that state for years? Who was basically brain dead?
But now 80,000 fully functioning humans die and thats not only ok but a great victory to be celebrated?
Pro life indeed!
I don’t know the facts on the husband pulling the plug but that’s up to whatever the wife’s wishes are and, if her wishes are unknown, it is up to the husband. Period. No one is actually celebrating death so relax the hyperbole. I’ve seen some on the right saying that about people on the left, like LG, and I feel confident in saying no one in here is cheering for people to die or thinks it is ok.Remember when Republicans lost their **** because a husband wanted to end life support on his comatose wife? Hey remember that time that Dems ignore all the killings in their democratically controlled , rat infested cities , but shut down a whole countries economy that has caused millions to be unemployed , put our supply chains in danger and caused untold future ramifications just trying to stop a virus that seems to be attacking the weak in the masses while trying to pass bills that give illegals the same rights as US citizens ? Get outta here with your virtue signaling BS .
But he appoints 21 of the 25 board members who oversee the MTA in New York. 4 are appointed by the mayor. And he did order the cleaning. So yeah the MTA reports to him, and as evidenced by the fact that he did order the cleaning, he clearly could have done so earlier. I just assumed this was being done once this became a problem. Pretty darn obvious it should have been. Complete lack of foresight and thought by the Governor. He doesn't live in or control NYC.
An additional 100 mil worldwide will face severe starvation because of the economic collapse caused by the shutdown.Remember when Republicans lost their **** because a husband wanted to end life support on his comatose wife? We lose 30-60k in the US every year to flu and no one bats an eye. Let's not act like 80k is statistically relevant enough to shut down the entire country for 2 months
Well we could halve the numbers if it weren't for nursing home deaths in three states. The you could probably take that number an chop off 1/3 that wasn't really virus deaths. You'd be somewhere in the ballpark of real numbers then.
It's a different illness that we know is coming, have a vaccine for, the season is not year round and we still lose tens of thousands. Flu also doesn't discriminate whereas this one seems to have a vulnerable type.30k-60k over the course of a year. 80,000+ in two months. That’s a pretty big discrepancy lol

From the beginning I've said to protect the most vulnerable (which was not done in NYC and we see how that turned out) and let the rest of us use common sense measures to get back to work. Most replies at that point accused me of wanting 2 million to die a horrible death, sacrifice grandma for a dollar, etc. Turns out our response had done more harm than good
What should he have done differently iyo?our response has done more harm than good because it was a terrible response. We had a commander in chief that continually downplayed the severity to the point that it required extensive lockdown procedures. If he had taken it seriously from the start, a full scale lockdown probably wouldn’t have been needed.
