Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Why should we take your word over his?
I haven't given you any word to take. I'm just giving an opinion and for what it is worth, I think Trump is a liar. I do not believe that he is being administered hydroxychloroquine as a preventive step against contracting the coronavirus... nor should he. That would be taking an unnecessary risk, with the president's health.

You are gullible if you think he is being administered hydroxychloroquine as a preemptive measure against the coronavirus. You would literally believe anything that Trump says. I don't. Trump is a liar, and this is yet another one of his lies.

... and everybody in the southern hemisphere has taken hydroxychloroquine, huh? Dude, shut up.
They know it works. They're downplaying it because it would fix the economy(quicker), restart his rallies, Biden would have to be seen (and debate 1 on 1), and mail in harvesting, I mean voting, would be cancelled.

Are you a doctor? You know this would be an unnecessary risk to his health?

That medicine doesn't cause any risks. The warnings listed are there because even one person listed it as a possible side effect.

Can hydroxychloroquine be prescribed to treat irrational paranoia? That seems to be on the rise.

The stuff has been taken every day by thousands of people for decades as a prophylaxis against malaria, it's pretty safe.

Has zero to do with the economy. It has 100% to do with it's a generic so there is no money in it.

Uou know why they are downplaying it. Not sure why you want to echo their sentiment in here, nobody gives a 💩.

I have 3 family members taking it and have been for 5 plus years. Taking it for the virus is no more than 5 days for someone.

That statement right there blows anything you say right out of the water. You have no clue how many people have died from the virus because it wasn't reported correctly. Listen, I respect you for what you have done but, you're barking up the wrong tree with me.

What tree am I barking up with you?

Unless you use the data to make approximations of that magnitude, you don't have a clue what to believe.

That's why you take the data to set bounds.

Excess death analysis is very helpful for that. And, it tracked very well through the first 4-5 weeks of the death arrival curve. I'm watching recent weeks because deaths are currently being over-reported by states as the ones who weren't previously reporting all the cases are now confirming them on death certificates and reporting. So COVID deaths are finally catching up with the number of excess deaths that have occurred. Personally, I would like to see a decent buffer between the two to feel comfortable that we weren't over-reporting COVID deaths. We've had that buffer for a long time. I'll continue watching to see if we maintain that - but that data is lagged because to calculate excess deaths you have to wait for the CDC to receive all death certificates and declare a death total for each week. We can estimate how that will build in by using typical lag times for reporting, but those error bars are big enough that I'm not comfortable making conclusions about whether COVID deaths have been accurately counted over the last few weeks.

I will always choose to take the data and analyze it six ways from Sunday to draw the conclusions that I believe are appropriate based on the data. I've done that through this entire period and while I feel like I've had views that run in opposition to both red- and blue-slanted media, I feel that time has proven those views to be reasonable. And, that's what I'll continue doing. There is too much confirmation bias slant otherwise.

Yes, it would be unnecessary, because hydroxychloroquine has not been proven to be effective as a preventive measure against the contraction of the coronavirus. Hence the reason, there are trials being conducted. There is no reason for the President of the United States to be a subject in a clinical trial study. This is common sense.

Consequence of being a Bro; great publicity and a chance to follow in Bernie's footsteps of being an ineffective legislator.

Yep. If she gets voted out I'm sure playboy (is it still around) would pay her a pretty penny for a centerfold.
