Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Per CNN:

In response to the shocking news that President Donald Trump is taking hydroxychloroquine in an attempt to ward off the coronavirus, CNN's Anderson Cooper asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi what she made of that decision.

Here's what she said:

"As far as the President is concerned, he's our President and I would rather he not be taking something that has not been approved by the scientists, especially in his age group and in his, shall we say, weight group -- morbidly obese, they say. So, I think it's not a good idea." - House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi

LOL! We all know that Trump is vain and very sensitive to digs at his physical appearance. I doubt he is going to take kindly to being called "morbidly obese" by Nancy Pelosi. Once he gets wind of this, there should be a Category 5 Twitter storm on the way. It should be entertaining. Stay tuned!

Seems odd that your Speaker is more knowledgeable that the POTUS medical team.

First yes he is a tad heavy but he isn't "morbidly obese" But a walking drunken wax museum shouldn't be taking shots at anyone

She's your Speaker, too.
I know why you are doing this, so plus one.

But this just has me wondering about the broader point. The people dont elect Congress people to their roles. Whatever district in CA voted for her. But then in power the party chooses her to be speaker. She's America's speaker with out being elected to THAT specific role.

How does the great VN electorate debate feel about that. Are we a true democracy or not?

The numbers are what people want to make them. We have Covid deaths attributed to symptoms early on because there wasn't a test available. CO has gone back and revised their numbers because they know they were inflated. Brix has stated that the numbers are wrong (both ways) and need to be adjusted. She thinks she is right, refused to comply and was replaced.... simple as that.
My company has instituted a policy that I must wear a mask in all common areas. They gave me a mask, and I wear it, why? Because they are paying me well, and I want to keep my job. WHether I think I need it or not...they are right when I'm on their dime.

From my review of Colorado’s data, I do not think that’s an accurate characterization of the new number they are reporting. They are simply breaking out the recognized NHSC COVID death count, which is based on filed and processed death certificates; however, those numbers are significantly lagged both in date through which deaths are captured and completeness of death certificates processed (for example deaths are only include deaths up through the precious Saturday and still lack over half the deaths one to two weeks out from that date due to lag). The number they are reporting is fully consistent with the NHSC/CDC numbers that have been reported for months now. No obvious revision.

This all day.
I just look at the deaths. The governments (federal/state/local) padded the hell out of this virus to get everyone to submit and scare the hell out of everyone. A couple of months later hospitals aren't overwhelmed, people aren't dying in the street and it's time to resume our life.

I honestly don’t know how anybody knows what to believe right now. There is no standard reporting method and government and media play statistical games based on whatever they’re trying to justify.

Thanks Obama for this rudderless ship.

That looks like a trial is going to be conducted to determine the drug's effectiveness as a preemptive measure... but that only means that it hasn't as of yet been determined to be effective in preventing the coronavirus.

No 💩. That's exactly what the president said he was taking it for. It's unreal how the left 💩 their pants at the thought the president may be right on this. All the fake outrage at the overpriced drugs that people have to pay and here is something super inexpensive and you are hopeful this doesn't work. This is why people see through the democratic party non sense

Has it ever dawned on you that the reported deaths from Covid-19 might be false? I know you're all about data, but I'm all about facts. It was encouraged for hospitals to code deaths as Covid-19 related because they got more money.
