Seems pretty simple to me. When a person votes now, they are in a moment where they dont have to share with any other person who they voted for.

Start sending these to homes and you'll have a head of household voting for people other than themself. And that is just the very simplest version.

People move around a lot and many don't change their addresses on their voter registrations.

Ballots were not mailed out. Applications to request an absentee ballot were mailed to registered voters.

In OR where mail in voting is standard ballots are automatically mailed, no request needed. This is what CA, MI and other states want to do also.

That is why I said there is a difference between absentee voting and mail in voting. Absentee ballots have to be requested.

That isnt the bar. There is literally no reason to weaken the security and integrity of the process.

I don't think i've seen anyone condemn the trials. The crux was that the drug was being touted as a miracle elixir without anything more than anecdotal stories as evidence of efficacy. Most of the studies (like the VA) either found no evidence of improved outcome or like the French trials, were shut down over safety concerns. Pointing these things out isn't a condemnation at all on the trials.

Good on the NIH for it's trial, that's what qualified medical researchers should be doing.

I looked it up to read about it because I would agree mailing tons of actual ballots out in case someone wants to use them without a formal application/control process. I don't remotely see how that can be safeguarded.

Was relieved to see that Michigan did not ballot-spam.
