Come on man, It's not like he went straight to the course after an American was beheaded and set on fire.....I actually think golfing is probably one of the safer things you can do. Few people, easy to distance. But should the president be doing it right now, from an atmospheric perspective? I don't think so.
Yeah we let families in for end of life events as well. This has been going on unofficially for a while - especially if the nursing home patient isn't dying of COVID. About a month ago, my friend got to see his father, who was in organ shutdown due to complications from diabetes. They made him wear head to toe PPE but he got to see his Dad while he was still somewhat lucid.
Yep. I watched the local Sports Source broadcast today and they had a great example of how F'd up the social distancing was going to be to just let 20k into Neyland Stadium this fall. Essentially in order to maintain social distancing rules it would take every gate at Neyland stadium to be 1.2 miles long to let in 20,000 people. That doesn't even address bathrooms and leaving the stadium. Yeah, let's just not let nursing home residents in to watch a game and get on with our lives.Well, that's the best way to avoid getting beat by Ohio State again.
I know. We should just all go golfing and pretend it's over ... Like our president.
social distancing has to be the dumbest garbage Ive ever seen and throw in the Chinese copy cat mask wearersYep. The hospitals weren’t war zones anywhere except for three places. Quit acting like this pandemic was end of the world BS.Until then, get ready, my friends. What is about to be unleashed on American society will be the greatest campaign ever created to get you to feel normal again. It will come from brands, it will come from government, it will even come from each other, and it will come from the left and from the right. We will do anything, spend anything, believe anything, just so we can take away how horribly uncomfortable all of this feels. And on top of that, just to turn the screw that much more, will be the one effort that’s even greater: the all-out blitz to make you believe you never saw what you saw. The air wasn’t really cleaner; those images were fake. The hospitals weren’t really a war zone; those stories were hyperbole. The numbers were not that high; the press is lying. You didn’t see people in masks standing in the rain risking their lives to vote. Not in America. You didn’t see the leader of the free world push an unproven miracle drug like a late-night infomercial salesman. That was a crisis update. You didn’t see homeless people dead on the street. You didn’t see inequality. You didn’t see indifference. You didn’t see utter failure of leadership and systems.
But you did. You are not crazy, my friends.
Just have me sign a waiver and I will enter to watch the gamesYep.
