Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I know some places are still requiring it. As I stated I have not seen said article because I couldn't find it, but my mother has. From what she said the article was basically saying Florida is shutting down again and going into lockdown mode. That restuarants and beaches were closing and you couldn't not wear a mask without getting fined

That's a bit exaggerated. It is definitely an issue and you will encounter some instances of inconvenience over it. If you are coming down in the near future I would think at least some beaches would be open, at least in the Melbourne-Cocoa area, which is less than an hour east of the resorts. There are reports of Disney workers asking Disney to hold off on reopening, so you might want to keep on top of that.

Fact is, coming to Florida right now is a bit of a gamble. I see some states have now instituted a mandatory quarantine for people coming from here to their states. Affect you? I don't know. And of course could change daily or weekly.

I will say, South Florida HAS been much worse for the virus than Central Florida. But, in the last week to ten days, Central Florida has had a number of hot spots.

Here's an article on what passed last night for Pinellas County. Beaches are still open here most all of the ordinances deal with inside businesses. I know for a fact our beaches are open, live 2 miles from Madeira beach, as I was there for sunset last night. See article it also touches on Tampa and Hillsborough County. I do not know about Orange county.
Pinellas County, FL

I fly out for Orlando in the morning. We are staying at Orange Lake which is not far from Disney. As far as beaches we usually drive to cocoa or Tampa for a day or so and hang out.

Orlando does require masks. It is in Orange County.

Orange County residents will be required to wear face masks under new executive order

Parts of Disney are in Orange County, some parts in Osceola County.

Osceola County mask mandate still in effect

I believe that in both, there is no penalty. However, what you will find in some cases, like restaurants, is that if you don't wear one you will be asked to and if you do not you will be asked to leave.
In Virginia you cannot be asked to put one on, they must assume you have a medical condition that won't allow you to.

What in the hell is this crazy world coming to??

Did you notice this line?

The FDA is not aware of any reports of adverse effects from using the products, it added.

So nobody has had an issue...but they're sure it's bad

Then there's this:

...adults who drink them as an alcohol (ethanol) substitute, are most at risk for methanol poisoning, the FDA said.

So it's like those little plastic bubbles in packaging with the warning: do not eat

I don't think this is a big problem.

I cant believe we have gotten to such a point where people depend so much on warning labels.

There is no room in our society for common sense.

Not to make light of it because I know alcoholism is a disease but didn't Michael Dukakis wife drink rubbing alcohol?

Eventually we will all come into contact with the virus. It is getting a little close to my family. My wife's cousin brought it home to his mom who is in her 70"s. He got it from work and was asymptomatic, She was on the verge of death for about 20 days. My niece works in Pigeon Forge is being tested right now because a cook where she works tested positive. A guy that I work with told me his adult daughter tested positive last Tuesday. He has been tested and was negative. She works in a local restaurant. She only felt sick enough to let her employer know and only felt that way for a few hours.

How close to home is it getting for y'all.

Also, All of the people that I mentioned wear a mask.

This weekend I was about to hang my lawnmower over the edge of my balcony to trim the hedges. Just as I was about to fire those blades up I saw a fortuitously placed warning that was a no no. Thankful!!!!!

Curious. How did the local restaurant handle her saying that? Did they do anything?

As a business owner, admittedly still unsure how I am going to handle this.

Both my nieces and the local one sent everyone to be tested. where my niece works they told her she was still scheduled to work this weekend. She told them the paper the doctor gave her said she is to quarantine and she won't be there. Be careful where you eat if you go to Pigeon Forge.

They will not allow my aunt out of her Michigan nursing home. My sister is contemplating permanently removing her. No one in Michigan has a favorable opinion of whitmer. Even my liberal brother in law.
Governors who are ok putting positives in with negatives are giving some residence death sentences. It is an intentional act at this point.
That's messed up. She should be removed from office.

Covid19 conspiracy theorists remind me of people who believe in Bigfoot. No one ever directly sees Bigfoot, but they know a guy who heard that someone else did. Same with Covid19. No one ever actually has it or knows someone who dies from it. However, they used to work with a guy whose sister dated a person who's Mom had Covid19, but got better.

This is a mountain out of a molehill situation folks, crafted by the Dems and the media.

My barber died from it.

While we have over reacted as a country you may want to seek professional help.
