The headline today will be 37k new cases..they won't mention that this was by far our biggest testing day at 640k

They're still saying that the 10 undiagnosed cases per every diagnosed cases estimate is holding up. Definitely a younger group being more infected. I imagine the vast majority will not have significant issues although some will die.

You can look at NYC's stats. The numbers have been going steadily down/staying flat more recently. There is no bump from the protests.

Trump says CV19 testing is "not needed", yet he, himself, and his staff are tested daily. How is this not hypocritical? How does this not demonstrate his continued poor (read: non-existent) leadership?

"I would go back to making sure that everybody had masks," Biden said. Both he and the interviewer wore masks and stood eight feet apart.

"The one thing we do know is that these masks make a gigantic difference. I would insist that everybody in public be wearing that masks," Biden continued. "I would do everything possible to make it required that people have to wear masks in public."

When asked if masks made it more difficult for him to smell and fondle unwilling young women, Biden grinned and said, "Not enough to stop me, no."

Seems like being outdoors and taking reasonable precautions (like masking up, as most of the protesters did) seem to work. Also, the protesters were not standing still. They were constantly moving, so it's unlikely that any one person would be next to the same person for any significant length of time. The data we have right now shows that the most significant spread comes from sustained indoor person to person interactions at close proximity.

Protestors argued that if there was community spread, it was likely due to police actions such as NYPD officers not wearing masks, arresting, shoving and macingprotesters.

Most of the "protestors" are young. They won't always have symptoms or need testing. Who you test can skew the numbers however you want them to be skewed.

I was talking about the notion that police procedures could somehow raise the transmission rate. If the protests didn’t result in more cases, wouldn’t it follow that the police acted appropriately with respect to the virus as well?

NYC tests out the wazoo. At this point, it'd be showing up in the data. But it's not. It's always possible there was a spike, but it was in young people and because they're either asymptomatics or have only light symptoms, they're not getting tested.
