Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

NYC tests out the wazoo. At this point, it'd be showing up in the data. But it's not. It's always possible there was a spike, but it was in young people and because they're either asymptomatics or have only light symptoms, they're not getting tested.

Gotta love herd immunity and the body working like it’s supposed to .

Yet those same people are tested in FL and the media is in full freakout mode

I believe current estimates are something like 18-25% of the NYC population have the antibodies.

That’s a start , a lot more is needed for the ones staying there . The ones getting out and moving around the country will help with that . I see lots of NY and New Jersey license plates on the road . Not as many as Florida but no state travels like Florida people , they are everywhere you go in the country .

Many of those are possibly rental cars. They license in FL for cheaper rates and more tourists. Plus the snowbirds drive a lot

How many "young people" have died in Florida? What's their hospitalization rate compared to the older pop?
He's going to bring up the 17 year old that died there this week as an example, just like sepctic did but what they won't tell you about is the girl had several health issues since birth, including cancer.

No doubt some are rentals , some are snowbirds but I’ve seen more Florida plates in every state than any other state and at all times of the year . It’s a game we play if someone is with me , see how long it takes before we spot a Florida plate . The idea is that I can’t even get behind the wheel and go to the corner store without seeing one ( I’m like a Florida magnet ) . Ask NGV about it . Lol

First sentence in the article , I believe , talked about her autoimmune problems she has battled all her life .

Also if you served and every lived in FL during that time you can keep your car registered here forever. It's also the 3rd most populated state

Or maybe the one with type 1 diabetes who was 400lbs. There's a reason this didn't affect the young and someone needs to figure that out

It did along with her battling cancer, it certainly is sad because she was so young however the flu would have likely taken the same toll

I admittedly only read so far into it , I don’t like to read about how kids struggle just to stay alive . Same reason I can’t watch much of anything from St. Jude , any video of a young person mistreating an elderly person or those stupid late night ASPCA commercials about the dogs . I don’t like catching the feelz and getting mad .

Yet those same people are tested in FL and the media is in full freakout mode

This has nothing really to do with testing. The media is in full freak out mode because hospital beds have become or will shortly become an issue in these large states. 75% of ICU beds in FL are taken by COVID patients. Up to 95% of ICU beds taken in areas of TX.

As hospitals fill with coronavirus patients, Florida wants to know who is in the ICU beds

Some Texas cities revive plans to add hospital bed capacity at convention centers if coronavirus cases climb

Covid patients being isolated but not treated at a level previously required for icu. These people are also tested daily and every positive test reported. This thing is being driven by bad math for terrible statistics
