Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I saw yesterday VA was allowing gatherings of 250 or something close to that

I donโ€™t think they can stop it . People around here lasted about 2 weeks , when it first started , then they pretty much just went back to doing their thing . The only time people / businesses tighten up is right after the governor decrees something . The mask degree is a joke because the police canโ€™t enforce it itโ€™s enforced ( I believe I read ) by some health and safety dept .

so now those people have to go thru the hassle of filing for unemployment AGAIN - such a screwed up country this is
Just wait until the miss a week and you have to call over 100 times to even get someone on the phone, then the first person tells you incorrect information so the next week you have to do it again

Where I live you are supposed too but most people aren't besides at work when they are made too. Also our numbers are pretty low. Population in my area is 100k, we've had less than 100 cases since march and maybe 5 deaths, all with some sort of pre existing issue.

There are several blue states like California and Virginia that have seen hotspots but aren't mentioned it's all red states...hotspots in already locked down states don't fit the narrative
Now leave Ralphy alone, he's going to open up all the bars but don't you dare let your kids throw a football or go to school

Yeah, no one is wearing mask here and businesses can't ask you to put one on either

Yep itโ€™s a whole different world than what you see and hear on cable news or their articles . We carried masks on our trip but didnโ€™t use them one single time because others in the businesses we visited wasnโ€™t wearing them either . Thereโ€™s such a disconnect between what the media says and whatโ€™s actually happening real life .

So we just got down to FL yesterday. At my home airport it was 50/50 on mask or no. My flight was about 2/3 full most wore their masks, but some did not. The flight attendants did not ask any who weren't to put their mask on. When we landed in Orlando/Sanford airpot it was packed every gate almost every seat was full, we were told by the lady at check in that the other Orlando airport is still a ghost town. Anyway pretty much every person in the airport was wearing a mask. When checking in, we were told almost everything in the resort is open aside from one part, she also told us while masks were required they were not enforcing it if you weren't wearing one ( how can you in a pool anyways). We've been out shopping in Target/Publix they had signs posted and pretty much everyone had a mask on, but at a few other stores nobody did not even the workers. We have been told the rules for most restaurants is wear a mask until you get to your table.

Are you stalking me???? Lol we just got back from Sand Key ( just south of Clearwater) and everything seemed normal but to hear the news its a 3rd world country War zone. Flew out of Lynchburg because its cheaper than Roanoke for some reason, we wore mask up and down but the mask mandate went in effect today there i think. Here its just been whatever, wear it if you want don't if you don't and our cases have been low.

We drove over and stay at the Marriott at Sand Key every year. Good beach if you get there early like we do

Haha thats funny. We are staying in Kissimmee. We are about 20 minutes from Disney. Not sure about a mandate, but most stores have it posted, FL did just spend alcohol only spots, but that doesnt really affect us. Im curious to see how things change over the weeks tho.

I spent the weekend at Holiday World in Indiana last week. Other than employees with masks and marks on the ground, Covid didn't really exist there. Thousands of people riding coasters and rides all day and very few masks to be seen. It was just like a summer day at a park and we had a great time.

We stay at the Sheraton, went later than usual this year because of everything that had gone on plus the boys baseball season was canceled. It was extremely hot all week but we had a good time regardless. Tampa airport was a ghost town, only took 5 minutes to get through security

Not in Maryland.

We just finished a week in Rosemary, and it's the most "normal" I've seen in three months. Maybe 2% are wearing masks, most retail-workers are not, maybe half of servers are, but most are either pulling them down off their noses or fumbling with the sweaty nasty things with their gloved hands. Tables are spaced a bit, which made dining out a biznatch. Destin Ice and Goatfeathers had great local catch, so we grilled most of the week anyway.

We enjoyed live music multiple times outdoors, which was nice. Beaches are packed, traffic is as horrible as ever. Biking, tennis, the fitness center, and beach bocce were all fantastic and normal.
