UTPD is considered a minor state agency that controlled directly by the BOT. They are forced to only deal with things like traffic control and drunk kids. They are told by BOT not to arrest drunk kids whose parents donate money. They simply bring them to the hospital. UTPD isn’t allowed to investigate felonies they turn it over to KPD.

Coming to a city near you: Mandatory masks

Face coverings are required starting tomorrow in Tupelo, Mississippi

The city of Tupelo, Mississippi, will require face coverings at all indoor public spaces and businesses starting at 6 a.m. Monday, they city said in an executive order posted on Facebook.
Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton said his job as mayor is "to keep our community safe, not make easy or politically popular decisions," he wrote on Facebook.

It just took 3 weeks with one pt on a ventilator to get 2 negatives. Brain dead from massive stroke, family wants to trach and peg pt.
The preacher man passed while I was on vacation. Massive clots everywhere.
My pt last night threw a clot during my shift.
Young man throwing clots since last week.
All 4 had anticoagulation, remdesivir and steroids. The inflammatory markers were much slower to come down.
The commonalities between these cases is astounding. Waited too long to vent the pts, switched to the program with remdesivir and are running them on wet vent circuits instead of keeping them dry.
All directed by pulmonologist at the cdc and medication recommended by the cdc and nih.
So yes you may eventually get to the OR, it may be a couple of weeks to get both negatives.
Last I checked my oath was all about doing no harm. I can't follow my oath if I can't have the proper tools to facilitate healing people.
Not directed at you Ricky but with all the bs argumentation against hcq, I can say with hcq regimen, at least we weren't watching people die on vents after 3 weeks and massively clot everywhere. In 7-11 days, we had them extubated and moving onto the next floor because we mitigated the inflammatory markers which are causing blood dyscrasias.
If anyone mistakenly believes big pharma doesn't run this show, head in the sand time.

Years ago a UTPD officer pulled us over for rolling through a stop sign in the Fort. The driver asked if UTPD could pull people over off campus, he said he had jurisdiction anywhere in the state. Always wondered about that, but when you say state agency that makes more sense.

Just open back up and let’s get this over with. Rely on individuals that are higher risk to take necessary precautions and all people to decide for themselves what precautions they want to take. This point has to come at some point. The whole idea behind shutting down was not to overwhelm the hospital system. We did too good a job leading to layoffs so let’s open up, develop immunity, and start to move on. It’s already going to take a while to get things back to “normal” as it is because even reopening is occurring in phases. I say we just keep moving forward.
