LOL you haven’t been in many truck stops have you ? Americans have short attention spans . If huge red signs on the door , above the urinals , on the back of the stall doors and above the sinks can’t get people to wash their hands .. a forgotten virus when things are normal won’t convince them .

You are proposing going another 1-2 years with current guidelines for masks and SD? Or, you can see how it will simply take that long to return to prepandemic behavior?

I'm just estimating the amount of time an effective vaccine will be developed and yes, I believe it will take that amount of time to get completely back to "normal" behavior

So, let's pretend USAFGV is in charge of pandemic policy. You would advocate adherence to current guidelines with the vaccine as the marker for exit strategy. Correct?

LOL......when not social distancing and not wearing a mask can be directly linked to someone getting it, I would say it certainly should be part of the news. I do agree that everyday numbers don't need to be part of it

What I find funny is much of your post is exactly the opposite of what our infectious disease experts are telling us. They don't know but you do?

It has been 50 times more lethal than the flu but still only about 5% that get it are dying of it

I'm pretty sure MMR is required. I think I got a meningitis vaccine when I started, but it's been so long ago I dont remember if it was mandatory.

I have not seen anyone get upset because someone ELSE was wearing a mask.

Migrant workers are finally being tested in large groups and that is a large jump. They are also focusing on at risk population which will also result in higher numbers. The youth getting it are not in trouble

Rhea County went from 13 to 262 cases when they tested a migrant camp. No deaths.

Calls everyone " Democratic pigs" and goes on a rant about her right to not wear a mask when approached by store employees.

So, just to clarify, if a store has a requirement such as "Shirts and Shoes Required", we follow store rules, or they have the right to refuse service and ask us to leave.

This same common-sense rule applies to a store requiring masks during a pandemic. If you don't like the story's rules, shop elsewhere. Pretty simple.

Did everyone get the nice little Covid tracker on their phones ? I didn’t know it was there until I was looking through my privacy settings . I’m guessing it was in an update , I don’t have a clue . I know I need to pay closer attention to these updates .

My wife said the last iOS update didn’t detail the changes being made. Maybe that’s why? I didn’t see it myself but that’s what she said.

The truth is that people who do catch this virus fall into one of two categories:

1) .03% who are elderly, have underlying conditions etc who become really sick and that require hospitalization. Of THOSE patients, only about .01% die

2) more than 99% either never get sick or get mildly sick and get better without the need for any medical care

People are very easily manipulated by fear. Compound that with a fundamental lack of knowledge in mathematics and statistics and this what you get.

It’s actually a nonissue for me . Other than counting people to see how the public is trending with them I don’t care either way . The only consistency I’ve seen are the employees at different businesses wear masks .

That’s due to legal concerns of course.

There is a certain logic to Trump's claims about testing. If you test and find out facts, then you will know facts.

My suspicion is he is more frustrated by the moving goal posts.

Increase testing
Lower death count
Now the total cases number is being touted, which is a function of testing
