Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

How bad did it get, and how long did it last?
I never ran a fever mine was very low, couldn't get warm. I took BC powders for body aches. The lethargy was the worst that lasted 2 weeks. In the middle of it I had shortness of breath for about 3 nights. Did allot of deep breathing that helped that. It all lasted about 2 weeks. I'm glad I took the BCs knowing what we know about anticoagulation of sick pts.

I hope you feel better quickly. My friend's who had it recovered in days, they were pretty healthy.

Thanks. Appreciate the info.

Today the lethargy hit hard and I napped for about three hours, woke up covered in sweat with some chest congestion. Fever has stayed low grade, between 99-100. I just feel run down constantly, like I have no energy at all. I’m taking aspirin for the fever and loading in the vitamins.

I’m pretty sure I can ride this out without going to the doctor as long as it doesn’t get significantly worse.

Should find out tomorrow.

For anybody interested I’ve developed what feels like a really bad cold. Slight fever with a really sore throat and mild cough. Mostly just really tired and lethargic. I’m pretty sure I’ve got the ‘rona. I’ll keep my condition updated on here for anecdotal sakes.

For the record I’m an early 40’s male in decent shape with no underlying conditions. I’m not too worried.
Thanks rjd, hoping for the best for you. Keep hydrated!

Those "studies" are hardly conclusive and no explanation has been found. If you are talking the Iceland one, the problem is that it is examining people in quarantine situations.

Yet another example of virus deniers latching on to one small piece of data, of questionable value, and unknown mechanics, to justify ignoring the mountain of evidence of the value of limited interaction to the contrary.
The AAP doesn't publish guidelines based on inconclusive studies. The prospective Netherlands epidemiology project is quite conclusive. Your head is in the sand.

I don’t see the point of drawing comparisons among that patient population if both numbers are negligible.
Perhaps the most important point is that multiple, large-scale studies have found that kids are not transmitting the virus to adults. That's quite different from influenza, and it negates said argument against the reopening of schools.

I'm happy to repost articles and links if requested.

Teachers wearing masks, students spaced safely, everyone using hand sanitizer as they enter/leave a classroom, out by midday,

Of course this could vary by region

I'm not gettin' this. The virus sleeps in and clocks in at midday?

Kids need to see a teacher's expression. That's all part of the learning process. It's a part of communication which is what learning is all about. Hand sanitizer was a part of most kid's backpack equipment a long time ago.

That was the symptoms for both NGV and myself . Sore throat , just a slight cough here or there but neither of us had fever . Lots of aches and pains and zero energy . We both had muscle cramps also , mine was mostly in my back and shoulders .

Edit: didn’t see that NGV post . I need to read more before I post lol .

If you don't mind, I wouldn't mind seeing the study about kids not transmitting the virus. I haven't heard that yet and would like to see some good news update on the virus. Seems like it's just been months of bad.

It is interesting. Hopefully scientists are rounding kids up for experimentation to figure out what makes them special.

That their minds are somehow stronger than their adult counterparts, as they just go about living life, instead of manic panicked phobia induced psychosis making them less susceptible to the BS and fear driven agenda as adults.

Until we have enough randomized double blinded clinical trials to prove the efficacy and safety of a drug for a specific disease, there is no conclusive evidence that many of this drugs are appropriate.
We’re way past that. How many people suffered and died due that BS thinking? We are talking about proven, cheap drugs that are used on infants.

Geez

I think it’s worse to try to force schools to be closed, force people to lose their jobs, force businesses to close, force people to wear a mask etc... all over a virus that is deadly to a very very small % of the people. Sick and elderly stay home everything else should operate as usual
Unless you want Trump to lose

Remember zinc!! I'm sorry you are sick.

Has there been disagreement about zinc? I use to get some zicam melts if I ever felt some kind of sickness possibly starting. One day at CVS the pharmacist told me it was a waste of money. Doesn't do anything. Wasn't trying to get me to buy the CVS brand or anything. Just said zinc wasn't going to help and recommended something else.

Sounds like VHSL ( Virginia High School League ) will make an announcement next week officially cancelling Fall Sports and it doesn't sound like it will be made up in the Spring either. Sad for the Seniors, Northam says no sports in Virginia can be played unless you can maintain 10' of distance so they can go ahead and cancel all Winter Sports as well.
