Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

That's kind of silly. Gary Johnson, for example, could have been a complete disaster as president. But you have the benefit of justifying your votes with platforms and policies that are completely hypothetical. Of course there is no moral consequence when you support something you know will not happen.
You can also claim no moral consquence no matter who you vote for.

If you in a heavy blue state and vote dem, your guy wins, guess what he would have won without your vote. No consquence as your vote was meaningless.

Unless it comes down to a single vote, your vote is meaningless and thus consequence free.

20% average infection rate for homeless sites per your sources.

570,000 homeless people in the US.

Mortality rate estimated 2-3 times higher than regular population. 9k people dead in the homeless population based on the media’s 3% for covid. I used 7.5% halfway in between 6% and 9%

CDC estimates 1.4 million people stay in shelters across the US. That increases the deaths to 21k.

I love it though, we don’t know the exact number at this time. I bet we could estimate based on s*** in the streets.

Voting third party is not throwing your vote away but I do agree with you that many like to virtue signal about how "it's not my fault, I voted 3rd party".
I actually agree that a third party vote is not a complete throw away vote - but close.
I would actually vote 3rd party if I found both major candidates equally undesirable, or if the 3rd party candidate was someone I truly supported.
I would love to see a valid 3rd party that appealed to the middle 50%.

Bud,i'm in the same boat as you are, because i am beyond over all this. I am literal sick and tired being constantly reminded that everything sucks, the empty gestures and virtue signalling from the elite, cancel culture, I'M OVER IT. But if you think it's bad now, just wait till we gets closer to the election,it gonna be beyond god awful miserable.
And this is their plan. This is exactly it. Beat you into submission and then sell you that things go back to the way they were once Trump is voted out. It’s absolutely not true. There’s no going back now. The Dems have a new radical uprising within their party that will soon be taking over completely and they’ve certainly seen how easily things can be controlled when people are afraid.

Could? SMH. Versus the circus clown we have running the country? Or, crooked Hillary? Sure buddy!
Johnson was blocked from the debates even though his early polling numbers warranted his inclusion. You sat around with your thumb up your ass and probably put an "I voted" sticker on your shirt either pulling the lever for a complete nut or a complete crook. Good for you! You're a real patriot.

Teachers who dont meet the vulnerable list that opt to do virtual learning should have their pay cut and the citizens should have a tax cut for services not rendered causing additional expenses for parents that have to work
First off teachers who do virtual learning are working a lot harder than teachers in the classroom if they're doing it right. My wife is a teacher so if they are doing things like she did, they deserve to get paid like everyone else. Secondly, one of the major problems with the educational system here in the US is that parents look at it like free daycare. Its not the school's responsibility to care of children, its the parents'.

Anybody hearing that CDC has identified Knoxville as a hotspot? I'm told that CDC showed up at UT Hospital last night to help set up overflow space. Nothing first hand here. Just passing along what I heard.

First I'm hearing about it.

An additional thing to worry about.

I got tested last week. Am helping my elderly parents move this weekend and wanted to be as sure as I can that I am not infected. Nothing is perfect, but its the best we can do. The Fla. Dep't of Health does the screening place I went to.

Got results ("not detected") a couple of days ago.

Today I got a call that went to voicemail from a "toll free call" number. The VM said it was the Fla. Dep't of Health calling me about the test results. I figured that it was going to be reconfirmation of the results. Got put on hold and as I thought about it realized this made no sense. The Dep't of Health would not ring in as a "toll free call."

So I hung up and did some research. Sure enough, there are scammers out there calling people pretending to be such and such department, or doing contact tracing, what have you. This is the last thing we need. And it will work everywhere, especially down here with what's going on and all the elderly folks. Hope they find the people behind this and put them under the jail.

Every study about Herd immunity disagrees with her assessment

I have seen some discussion of t-cell based immunity lately and that we're only testing for antibodies. Honestly, don't know the science and how that differs from antibody immunity. I know t-cells attack virus, but I don't understand how t-cell immunity is created.
