You can also claim no moral consquence no matter who you vote for.That's kind of silly. Gary Johnson, for example, could have been a complete disaster as president. But you have the benefit of justifying your votes with platforms and policies that are completely hypothetical. Of course there is no moral consequence when you support something you know will not happen.
If you in a heavy blue state and vote dem, your guy wins, guess what he would have won without your vote. No consquence as your vote was meaningless.
Unless it comes down to a single vote, your vote is meaningless and thus consequence free.
